“The family who run Hotel Bergheim are just wonderful - they are so kind and generous and gave me a lovely stay! The hotel is simple but the rooms are spotlessly clean, comfy beds and roomy - everything you could need! The town is beautiful - very quiet and peaceful, and the mountain views are gorgeous.”
“We had two rooms for two couples booked for just one night as we were travelling through the area. The hotel overlooks a road and main train line to the beautiful Walensee. One of our rooms had a lake view and the other faced rearwards to the mountains. I was concerned about road and rail noise but I need not have worried as the double glazing from our lake view room was excellent at keeping the noise out. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable, with decent bathrooms and large showers.
We ate in the restaurant and were impressed with the food, which was very tasty and prices were what you would expect in Switzerland.
The staff were all very friendly, especially the young lady at reception and the waiter in the restaurant who spoke excellent English and forgave our poor German.”
