“We really enjoyed our stay at Safi House. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always making us feel welcome. The place itself is very cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day.”
“Sabrina was the all-in-one staff at the lodge. She was absolutely caring and attentive. She went over and beyond to make us comfortable. She prepared a superb breakfast for us. There was no common/dining room and we ate it under an open verandah just outside the room. However, the lodge was no where near to the pictures and advertised write up of the lodge. I understand locals want to improve themselves and find better opportunities but they need to have a good understanding of what they need to offer and not be deceptive. The location was near to the airport and that’s the best and only asset of the lodge. But even the local cab driver had to ring Sabrina for directions. It is located in the middle of a residential area, along a dusty track. The room was very basic, comfy and in a quiet area but is a wooden room and looked like a temporary room with a weirdly set up bathroom/toilet. I am disappointed booking.com lists the property as the toilet has completely wooden walls and fixtures. The bathroom inside is covered with plastic/vinyl wall covering tacked to the wall to hide the wooden bathroom. I have lived rough and under the open skies and I’m not fastidious but being deceptive is not acceptable. I Blame booking.com for this listing and supporting below par accommodation. They need better verification of the property before listing it. Standards need to be maintained and it’s not just about costs and we can support local development, but not being disadvantaged by incorrect listings. Even the advertised breakfast was not honoured and I had to talk to the owner to have it prepared. He was unsure if it was included in the price. However, Sabrina more than made up for the lack of amenities and facilities. I hope she gets away to a better place to work. The owner is just trying to make a quick buck with deceptive photos and write up.”
“Le Parlour was a great place to stay for a one night stop over before our return flight home... Communication , pickup & drop off , room and breakfast all good 🙂
Good value and it's always nice to support local bussiness.”
“This is a good place to stay if you have an early or late flight from Kilamnanjaro airport. Although a half hour from the airport, you can avoid going through Arusha, which has lots of traffic. Room was small but nice. Was good value for the money.”
“We just stayed for 1 night for a stopover at Kilimanjaro airport, for a very reasonable extra cost safi house provided us with airport pick up/drop off and an evening meal - great service and really suited our needs.”
