The location was great, within a few minutes walk from the regular and convenient Seward free shuttle that we caught from the train station. However, the outstanding feature of our stay was the masterfully cooked breakfasts that featured local produce lovingly prepared and served with a detail to attention not often found anymore. If you have the opportunity to stay at Sunshine House, as an overseas visitor looking to experience Alaskan hospitality, take it. “The Host was lovely and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The shared kitchen was great and plenty of choice for breakfast. The rooms were big enough with the main room, having a lovely view of the sea and mountains. Despite the things we weren't so keen on, we would recommend this as a great place to stay for the Host, location and comfort.”
