“We had an awful experience staying here sadly. The bedrooms had wardrobes that had locks in with very strong chemicals, the fridge didn’t work, my husband had an allergic reaction to something in the room (we think it was the strong chemicals locked in the wardrobes) so we ended up at the local medical centre, the curtains did not cover the windows so people were peering in, the blankets had not been cleaned and smelt of body odour, the door was cracked and there was no electricity and no means apart from a tiny candle to see which was scary for children and then they tried to overcharge us the fee that we were originally given.
I would avoid staying at this property sadly.”
“The apartment is not an issue. Good place. A bit cold. But hey, Kericho is cold in general. Now the host! Absolute piece of work! Booked the place for 2 nights. Unfortunately it couldn't do 2 nights in one booking. Paid to her paybill for the 2 nights. She had her taxi contact drive me to my supposed booked place. I had my map on, so when we started to go the opposite way, I had to ask. She insisted I booked that place. Sent her my booking receipt. To date, she insists I did not book grey point apartments. It was past 10pm. Tired from my long drive from Iten, i just wanted peace and quiet. Got to Amani home. House wasn't clean at all. Broken cabinets. Not even basics like tissue put out. Wifi was down. I insisted she takes me to my booked apartment, or refund my money. After standing my ground, she agreed but asked for more money. Didn't object, got to greypoint and told her the additional money she's asking for, she should the taxi that I had to pay for to move apartments. Then she started sending me threats. I told her to get law enforcement. I have my booking done and confirmed. Plus the full payment receipt which was more than what the app here had indicated. Oooh, she had double booked. But couldn't just own up to it. I have the booking for this same apartment under one Francis that she mistakenly sent me before trying to make me look crazy that I had booked a different place.”
