“Either the hotel has meanwhile improved or others were just unlucky, but we didn’t experience any of the negative aspects mentioned in the comments. We had a brand new refurbished and very clean room with touch screens, air-con was working perfectly. The pool is very clean, we spent several hours in there. Breakfast buffet has a large choice (both western and Sri Lanka) with great quality. We also went for the diner buffet, wich also offered excellent food at a reasonable price (6000 rupies for two persons except drinks). The hotel lies in walking distance from the train station on a main road, but our room headed to the inner court with the swimming pool and we could not hear any traffic. I can’t say anything about the TV program as I’m not staying in hotels to watch TV.”
