The coastal views are endless. I loved how walkable everything was. I also took a short bus to Carmel which is the nicest beach I have seen in the US. I missed out on the 17 mile scenic drive without having a car, but I will be back :)Guest review byCrystalUnited States - 8.0

Very beautiful and quaint but painfully overpriced as a whole. You can’t get a scoop of ice cream for less than $10. Only go if money is not an object at all. Expect to spend $50+/person for every meal.Guest review byPranavUnited States - 8.0

We enjoyed this location as it was easy to access Monterey and all the areas we wanted to visit. Rosine's in Monterey is Tops to us! Transiting the area was very easy. No bad traffic. Everything flowed well.Guest review byTirasmomUnited States - 10.0
The Steinbeck Center is a must.
The Steinbeck Center is a must. I had breakfast at a local coffee shop on Main street, a few blocks away from the Steinbeck center. I can't remember the name, but the food was good and affordable. The staff was great. Seems like a draw for the locals.Guest review byMargaretUnited States - 10.0
Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey.
Marina is a beautiful little town just north of Monterey. With CSUMB right there, there are a number of stores and restaurants typical of a college town. Monterey is just a short drive away but Marina is quiet without the hustle and crowds. Daddy's City Diner is a great place to start your day with a hearty breakfast! Stop by Baker's Bacon for some fresh, tasty bacon, sausage and cheese. Take some candied bacon with you for a wonderful snack.Guest review byJasonUnited States - 10.0
Friendly , helpful staff.
Friendly , helpful staff. Exceptionally clean rooms...floors had been wet mopped ( a pet pieve of mine) and all was well maintained. The housekeeping service even stopped to ask if everything was ok.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0
So much wildlife, we loved it.
So much wildlife, we loved it. The sea lions were hilarious, all piled on docks at the harbor, and it seemed like a real working town, not a fake touristy spot. And do visit the Shakespeare Society of America in Moss Landing. What a hoot! Can't really explain it but see for yourself. We ate at Sea Harvest and the Thai restaurant near the inn, both adequate and inexpensive. I was stoked to visit Pezzini Farms and I will be ordering heritage artichokes from them this spring. Whale Watch Point right across from the harbor was fun just to chill and stare at the sea lions and so many pelicans.Guest review byCynthiaUnited States - 10.0

The Monterey Bay aquarium was top notch, not only with animals, but facilities and numerous volunteers. The area is beautiful and weather was fabulous. We had the absolute best clam chowder, so fresh. Plus we could watch the otters, seals and dolphins in the kelp beds from the window as we ate.Guest review byTerriUnited States - 10.0

Very pretty location with lots of boutique shops and variety of restaurants serving great food. Carmel beach is very beautiful but not for swimming in the sea due to the strong undercurrents. We stayed 1 night which was about right for us as we saw all we wanted to see. If travelling from Monterey, definitely do the 17 mile drive, It was stunning!Guest review byYvonneUnited Kingdom
