partner and I met there 26 years ago and came to your property to celebrate his 82 birthday and to visit and renew old memories, thanks for being such an important part of this trip by making everything so perfect, even though you did not know. We appreciated all the excellent service from all of your staff. Would also like to comment on your staff that maintain your rooms, never been to any hotel here in Thailand, been to many 5 star hotels, never compared to the cleanliness of your hotel, was a very nice change.Guest review bySuzanne PThailand - 8.0
A lovely town in the north-east of Thailand.
A lovely town in the north-east of Thailand. Has many attractions for good quality food, both Thai and farang (including a number of high quality cafes), farang bars, a decent-sized Central shopping mall and multiplex cinema. There's a great night market area with thriving Thai food stalls, especially Train Night Market (near the station) and the nearby UD Town. All just a few kilometres from an airport which has regular flights to both Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi.Guest review byPaul CarterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Located in the North East, it is a gorgeous burgeoning city that while decent sized, doesn't feel too big like Bangkok. The warmth of the Isaan people is palpable. Plenty of rural traveling there & a few outstanding gold courses.Guest review byDr. David OberUnited States - 10.0

Is good to know where you want to visit and book a car with driver from the hotel you are going to stay. There is not grab or taxi in Khaiyao but you can drive if you want to. We prefer to book a car with driver and let him know where we want to visit and eat. It is a nice place for 3 to 4 nights stay.Guest review byannieSingapore - 8.0
Interesting town and well worth a visit.
Interesting town and well worth a visit. Alongside the Mekong river, it has some good restaurants and there seem to be mainly Thai visitors. Calm and pleasant atmosphere, friendly locals. Try to visit at the weekend when the "walking street" evening market is excellent.Guest review byAdrianThailand - 8.0

Ubon is a nice city if you have plenty of time traveling around. Rent a motorbike or navigate by taxi in the city (cheap and they turn on the meter). Some nice places to visit for one or two days. For shopping it's a good city as well.Guest review byDon - 8.0

It worth a look around, got some pleasant drinking places and many large places to eat. I go once a year to visit a friend so I am not the best person to rate the city as we go to the same venues every yearGuest review byDuncanThailand - 8.0
The bike lane is really well made.
The bike lane is really well made. Even for first-time cycles, it is a very easy cycle to cycle next to the river from the walking street to Kaeng Khut Ku. There were several sections where the bike lane stopped abruptly, but it wasn't too hindering. The walking street is where everything is at, buy all the good food and shopping there. The food was good and well-priced. 2 days is about right to do all the main activities: dinner on the cruise during sunset, walk the walking street, see the sunrise at Phu Thok, give alms to monks, and go to Chiang Khan Skywalk. Additional days may be planned to go to neighboring temples but you would need transport. We took the coach from Bangkok, but next time we would fly to Loei then take the shuttle from the airport.Guest review byPaponteeThailand - 6.0

Sleepy small town by the river, relaxing if you come from a large city like BKK or VTE. Rent a bike and take a tour along the river. Don’t forget to visit the spectacular Buddha park (sister to the Vientiane version). It is a good stop to relax a few days on your way to / from Laos.Guest review byBjornSweden - 8.0
Looking to get away from the touristy and noisy Bangkok,...
Looking to get away from the touristy and noisy Bangkok, Pattaya, or Phuket? Come check out Korat for a pure local Thai experience. This city has mostly working-class Thai people living in it and it shows. You have Terminal 21, night markets, and temples to visit, but everything slows down after 10 pm. It's a different vibe.Guest review bySoLoMoNoIsrael
