  • Port Hope Inn & Suites Review Score: 8

“Stayed 5 nights within a week with 3 reservations. Stayed in rm 119. Although it was clean, one bed sagged so much it needed to be replaced. It was not a good sleep for me, but my family had a good sleep on the other bed. Rm 232 beds were great. Small TVs were nice to relax with after a long day of activities. Sure, channels up to 25 were grainy, so we selected above 25. Easy. Breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage, breads, yogourts, juices, coffee & tea. Small area and more tables are needed. Diane was great at keeping it as clean as possible. Guests are slobs. The large coffee machine was out of order, so she constantly had to make more coffee in the small dispenser. Two small coffee and milk dispensers would be better suited. Supply issue? Good location near Hwy 401, fast food restaurants, and, of course, Tim Hortons! Front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. If you want a 5* pristine hotel, then pay the extra money and go elsewhere. Port Hope Inn is a good hotel for the price and amenities. Yes, it has stains, cheap fixes, and old A/C units. It is great for the budget conscience and it's pet friendly for a very reasonable price.”
