“This is a small B&B in a house on a small housing estate; the rooms (there’re only three, I think) are functional and clean with a separate small, but private, bathroom. The lady of the house does everything to make you feel welcome and, despite a lack of English (and my lack of Italian) communication is not a problem. There is a free parking space and the wifi worked very well. Breakfast was served in the garden and was sufficient. Il Pescatore is a 30 minute drive from Livorno port so, if you have arrived back on a ferry in the late afternoon, it makes a good stopover before a long drive the next day. Finally, it is less than ten minutes to walk to the seafront at Marina di Pisa, which is well worth a visit for its excellent seafront and range of bars and restaurants. I can recommend Zenit Cafe on the seafront for an artisanal beer, pizza and superb service. I also recommend Il Pescatore as value for money for a stopover.”
