“In this part of Slovenia, there are hotels with aqua-parks and small taverns with a few rooms for guests. I wasn’t interested in a pool with a slide and things like that, because I was there for just one night on business. I was arriving very late so I needed a place with 24/7 access. This hotel was the best (and probably only) choice.
There are some codes to type in at the entrance and for the room. I am not a fan of this, but it worked.
Room was large enough and clean. There was a wide desk for me to open my laptop. Room had one of those pitchers you can use to boil water for coffee or tea, but no complimentary coffee or tea bags. There was a small fridge in the room, but it wasn’t stocked.
Some workers were drilling walls, but they started after 9:00AM so I didn’t care.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about.
Hotel was perfect for my one night, and value for price was great. Plus it has a guest parking in front of the hotel, which is important for me.”

“AMAZING!!! The rich history of the castle and restored buildings as well as the charm of the furniture also kept from previous centuries. The restaurant gave the same impression-modern menu in a restored dining room. The food was beyond delicious. The staff was above expectations - polite and well educated in history and gave us a tour around the castle and golf courts. Although it needs more restoration which I suppose is very expensive I hope it will stay as beautiful as I experienced it. I wish to express my gratitude to Izet and all staff at the Castle Mokrice for everything.”
“We booked two rooms with breakfast as a family. The rooms were clean and spacious. The view outside was just industrial trains. The check-in and check-out system is well organized, and you receive the door code on time. You can choose and indicate your breakfast time, but there wasn’t enough stock during breakfast. We had chosen to have breakfast at 8:15, but there was not much choice left and almost everything was gone. When we asked the staff for an explanation, they said they hadn’t expected so many reservations, and that’s why everything was finished. The staff were not solution-oriented and didn’t know what to say in such a situation. Very dry, without any apology, they just said, “It’s simply gone because there were too many reservations.” How is that possible?”
“We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful wooden house on the hillside, surrounded by vineyards. The veranda offers an amazing view of the mountains and nearby vineyards. The house is very spacious, perfect for family meals and comfortable enough for a big family with its three bedrooms.
The atmosphere is peaceful, with only forest and countryside sounds — truly idyllic. Nearby farms with sheep, cows and other animals add to the charm. For a large family it was very practical to have both a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The hosts are fantastic — they produce excellent wines from their vineyards. On their farm you can also enjoy a tractor or donkey ride, relax in the swimming pool, and have delicious breakfasts or dinners.
The location is great for exploring many interesting places, both well-known and hidden gems: Brežice, Olimje, Kostanjevica, local caves, Čatež with St. Vid, Novo Mesto, Samobor, Zagreb, Kumrovec, and the beautiful Krka river. With the highway you can easily reach further attractions in about 2 hours, such as Vintgar, Bled, Bohinj, Postojna or Škocjanske Caves.
Truly a perfect place for a relaxing family holiday in a beautiful region!”

I liked it · The hotel is architecturally built, has indoor and outdoor pools, which are pleasant and not very crowded. The building overlooks lush greenery, tall trees, the riverbank and lawns. You can admire horseback riders there. The food is delicious and varied, and the ingredients are locally sourced. The dining room is pleasant, renovated, and adequately naturally lit. The corridors are decorated in neutral colors and shades.”
