- From $317.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,214 reviewsWe were meant to stay from 7-16 Mar, cyclone hit and we were able to move our bookings to 28 Mar-6 Apr. We had 7 rooms during our stay (5 for 8 nights and 2 for 3 nights), x4 2 bedroom superior apts, x2 2 bedroom apts and x1 bedroom apt We did request and pay for 2 rooms on the ground. Right up until the day before we arrived, reception was not able to confirm our room numbers. If I'd known how far our 2nd room was going to be and how difficult it was going to be for our mum to go up/down the stairs to and from room, we would've asked to move rooms. We checked in quite late to the resort, so by the time we got in our room, unpacked and relaxed after our international flight, we'd already made ourselves comfortable and used the towels, bathrooms etc; when checking in I did keep telling the receptionist that we had our mum but that didn't seem to factor in her allocating the room. It was our fault for staying in the room. She just took her time walking around the resort Our room was very spacious and the arrival pack (eggs, bread, milk etc;) kids activity pack, free drinks/kids club/mini golf vouchers were much appreciated😊 even the road works outside the resort, you couldn't hear any extra noise where our rooms were located. We appreciated the washing machine and dryer. The resort having trolleys for shopping trips was handy to have. Car parking was a breeze and placed well within your room allocation. The gym was used frequently, games room visited by the kids/teenagers and the cinema was a hit with the under 5's The pools were amazing! there was something for everyone in our group (1yo to 60yo) was nice having the spas beside the pools too If something was broken or you needed an extra blanket, reported it to reception/rung house keeping and it was dealt with immediately. A1 service TIP: bring mat/old towel to use as door mat to wipe up wet floors when rainingGuest review byNayNew Zealand
- From $282.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,142 reviewsWhile not as bougie as the Hayman Island Resort, there is a lot to do at this resort. There are 2 restaurants on the island and the food options include an asian restaurant and a burger and pizza type of place. But vegetarian options available too and a small gift shop in the main lobby. But the key thing is the amazing activities to do on the resort (swimming with stingrays, live reef, sunset beach area behind with a rainforest pathway too to hike, sailing lessons that can be done from the island and scubadiving from island. The island has two sides, one for day trip and one for people staying. Big pools to swim in plus beach side. Great views. Easy to access port to go to reef or white haven tours as well as snorkeling tours or back to mainland to airlie beach or hamilton island. Walaroos are cute as anything on the island and you can feed them apples and bread and rice etc. like they are your pet dog. The cockatoos too. There was also paint and sip and other activities as well. Very family friendly. There is an underwater observatory room(an aquarium of sorts) and morning yoga in that room. there is also a kids section and other such aquariums throughout. It is beautiful paradiseGuest review byEktaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 206 reviewsWhat a treat! If you are looking for a luxurious and comfortable retreat from the world, this is the place! Gorgeous location with beautiful surroundings. We loved the spa bath which we enjoyed whilst sipping our complimentary champagne, then slipping into the cozy bathrobes to snuggle on the sofa warmed by the log burner. Absolute heaven. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided, in fact we really didn't want to leave. We tried to book a second night, but unsurprisingly Treetops was booked out. But maybe best of all.... no internet!!! A true country escape, and we have recommended it to many friends already ❤️Guest review byJoyUnited States

Very easy to navigate and get around.
Very easy to navigate and get around. We walked a short display to Fortitude valley train station and made our way to South Bank for less than $5 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Had the best time at Sth Bank park and man made pool, then a great dinner, drinks and live music at a pub 5min walking distance from the pool, easy walk back to train station. 3 happy exhausted kids and 2 happy adultsGuest review byDianaAustralia - 10.0

There really isn’t much to see in downtown Cairns.
There really isn’t much to see in downtown Cairns. To enjoy it, you have to go out to the islands, but this always requires paying a high price, and there aren’t many options in terms of timing. I would instead recommend staying briefly at a resort on one of the islands and then returning. Kuranda and the other rainforests were more developed as tourist attractions than I expected. Everywhere you go, you have to pay an entrance fee, and the shops all felt the same without any unique character.Guest review bychoiAustralia - 8.0

Stunning weather, stunning views, friendly staff everywhere we went, Except for the bar on the right at the roundabout as you drop down into the main shopping area. (bar staff were rude) Went on a Red Cat Adventure snorkling & visit to an Island with the most stunning beach I have ever seen. Pristine sand and clear blue water. Skipper Mark & Deck crew Jade & Kobi were fantastic we highly recommend them.Guest review byLorenNew Zealand - 8.0

A very interesting and multi-cultural town with a diverse range of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shops, a very large country town that also hosts a wonderful flower show mid-September. Also an amazing new airport just out of town called Wellcamp indicates this is an elevated - go ahead - rural town with some lovely real estate features, great schools and landmark views over the Lockyer Valley. In fact the other "table land towns" Dalby, Warwick, Stanthorpe and many. many more provide a great insight into rural Australia. Very worthy of planning a road trip and hiring a car!!!Guest review byMaxwellAustralia - 10.0
