Excellent value for money. A rare feeling, that the hotel really cares about you. Absolutely recommended. This is a wonderfully renovated village hotel, which now is perfect for business and leisure travelers alike. We used it on the Easter weekend for hiking in Jura. The location offers no views, but instead there is a couple of train stations nearby (one 2, another 7 minutes walking distance). Because of this, a great variety of hiking destinations in Jura are in easy reach. Excellent soundproofing, rooms were really quiet. The double room was very spacious, a single room smaller but sufficient. Nice modern and practical set up with a very good lighting. Rooms are air conditioned. Coffee machine with the capsules replenished. Excellent cleaning. Nice and spacious bathroom in the double room. Great supply of toiletries for the level of the hotel. Very good breakfast. Good middle-priced restaurant with a very friendly staff, with good to perfect English. As a special feature - despite the restaurant being very popular, hotel guests always get a guaranteed table. We have stayed in a lot of Swiss hotels outside big cities, but this is probably our best experience ever.

There is also a shop and mini golf. Special mention about the exceptional service. Dunia from the.reception staff gave us Swiss charging plugs to charge our phones and watches. Doris from the support team arranged to have my wife’s Apple Watch shipped to a local contact that she left behind.

    It was possible to drop our baggages before check in and it was so easy checkin and checkout. Staff was very polite and helpful. Cost effective way to stay in Switzerland than major cities like Zurich, Lucerne. Hotel location is just 30 mins away from Zurich by train and all long and short distance trains will stop at Olten which is really convienient.

    Characterful city with impressive building and views, especially in the old town area. Good restaurants and a vibrant energy, but like most of Switzerland, not cheap. Only about 1.5 hours from Zurich Airport by train.

    Not worth the money to book accommodation for even a one night stay. Only cheap & tacky shops, lacks character & charm - very small (but there are so many lovely quaint towns in Switzerland!), & forgettable. Was recommended an Indian restaurant by a local - & that too was lousy :(

    Beautiful historical riverside town with a superb Cathedral . It has many interesting old buildings, towers and an Art Museum, (closed on Mondays). It’s a lovely place to wander around, but beware of cyclists approaching from behind with no warning, especially on the footpaths by the river where there are ‘No cycling’ signs, as we were nearly knocked over a couple of times. Eating out is quite expensive in Solothurn, and on a Sunday evening there were not many places open, but we did find a Chinese takeaway with a few tables inside where we had a nice meal. Solothurn is easy to walk around on foot and is quite compact. Be sure to look out for the beautiful Town Clock tower.

    Beautiful small city in Switzerland.

    Beautiful small city in Switzerland. A perfect stop over city should you ever pass through it. Excellent places to eat, a beautiful river running through it and some great shopping. You have to stop by Musik & Vin and pick up some excellent bottles of wine, in particular, buy the local Swiss wines -- absolutley incredible.

    The town is small but has a great deal of charm, with cobbled streets and old buildings. The highlight being the castle. If you're there in summer - and like swimming - do not miss a dip in the outdoor pool, the Freibad. You get a great view of the castle.

    An excellent base for exploring all parts of that area of Switzerland but requires a car or use of public transport to get to the main sites and scenery. We use it as a great value base for exploring by car and you'd be hard pressed to beat it for quality and value in that capacity.

    Nice little town just outside of capital city Bern. A train takes you direct. Be careful not to get off at Worb SBB but Worb Dorf, otherwise you will end up like me and having to walk 30mn in complete darkness down a long country road.

    Grenchen doesn't offer interesting Summer touristic activities. I contacted the Grenchen's Office of Tourism about that, but the person in charge to respond to my inquiries was on vacation, and the employee said that they don't usually get those inquiries (places to visit, museums, tour to the Mountains, etc.) They provided me an email, I sent them my inquiries but no response at all during my long stay. The staff at the SBB (Train Station) was very efficient and helpful. Local and regional bus transportation system is frequent and efficient. In general, the Grenchen's people and store/markets' employees are very correct and welcoming. I will avoid staying again at MOOI apartments due to the ordeal I went through (fraudulent charges)

    It's expensive, but I guess you're aware, I mean it's Switzerland.. :D But super beautiful, clean, mix of nature and city/shopping etc. Cool places to eat and have drinks, nice parks, you can also visit the bears if you're lucky enough to see them.
