“Staying at Five Peaks was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. From our first contact with the owners (thank you, Daniel and Chie!) to check-out, everything was excellent. The location is perfect – just a 10-minute walk to the Snow Monkey Park – and the peace and quiet made it even more special.
I’d recommend taking a 20-minute walk to the nearby village centre as well. The house itself is very well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.”

“This is a very large house with space to park a car. We were there in winter and the kids loved playing in the snow around the house. It is walking distance from the Snow Monkey Park, but make sure you have the correct footwear in winter as it can get very icy and slippery. There are gas heaters in every room, which worked great. We were never cold inside the house. There is plenty of space in the kitchen, dining room, and living room. It was really nice having a tumble dryer as well as a washing machine for cleaning clothes.”
“Warm welcome from our hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Great location within walking distance to snow monkey park and local town. Well appointed and spacious villa. Excellent breakfast and dinner, the latter was in the form of a tasting menu so had the opportunity to explore Japanese cuisine that we wouldn't normally opt for. On our second night we had the place to ourselves so it felt very special.”
“Serene, minimalistic style villas suitable for families. The in-house onsen on the villa’s terrace is a great bonus, be mindful that 43 degrees Celsius water can feel quite hot, luckily you can add ice cold water. Extremely kind and helpful service overall, Joyce is a gem. Both Japanese style and continental breakfast are good, make sure to share your wishes for what you like to eat. The dinners were awesome, so many great dishes to try out and the freshest imaginable sushi. I warmly recommend a stay here.”
