As a solo female traveller I felt extremely comfortable and safe and welcomed into this hostel 😊”

    “Beautiful little stay. The pool area is amazing, great for relaxing! Self check in was easy. It's a bit out of town so get a tuktuk contact to come pick you up daily to get into the main part of town. Bed was comfortable! The bathroom isn't very private so keep that in mind for the jungle room. All glass. Thanks!”

    “The cabin is located right on the bank of the lake, offering a stunning view once you leave the compound (there is a fence there for security reasons!) and the inside is cute and cosy. The kitchen equipment is slightly limited but was good enough for some tacos in front of the lake. The staff were very friendly and patient (I arrived not knowing it was cash-only, but they were trusting enough to let me go to the cash machine in my own time). Situated about 5 minutes walk from the village, it doesn't take long to reach the restaurants and bars, though is far enough to not be bothered by the noise.”

    “I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Lago Atitlán. The house is a true gem by the lake — simple, yet it has everything you need. There’s hot water in the bathroom, a fridge and stove in the kitchen, plus a coffee maker and, of course, coffee. The location is peaceful and perfect for nature lovers. The highlight of the house is definitely the balcony with a hammock, where you can relax and enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the lake. The host was incredibly kind and helpful — he even helped carry my luggage to the house. Sunrise Lago Atitlán is about a 5–10 minute walk from the San Pablo dock. It’s definitely easier if you’re traveling with a backpack rather than a suitcase, as the path isn’t ideal for wheeled luggage. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature!”
