- From $96.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 4,250 reviewsI stayed here with my two sisters, one had an adjoining room and we were all really impressed by the hotel and the staff. Rooms were beautifully clean with comfortable beds and the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We decided to eat at the restaurant on the first evening and we were not disappointed at all! Good sized portions and delicious! Breakfasts in the morning were good too. We had cooked breakfasts, good sized and they were happy to swap items for us. We had a great time here and right on the doorstep of the caves!Guest review byJacquelineUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 279 reviewsEverything about my stay was ideal! The owner was there to meet me when I arrived and gave a great short history of the space. It’s very eclectic and that’s why I choose it! It’s right off the bus route and across from the Abbey. It’s quiet and super peaceful. The breakfast made to order in the morning was spectacular! The staff was hands on in the morning, engaging and super helpless and informative! I can’t wait to stay again when I have more time to explore Glastonbury. The house is like a Museum to explore!Guest review byAmandaUnited States

We were attending a wedding in a local village, so on this occasion, didn't see much of Taunton. However, our previous experience of the town is that it is well worth a visit. Lively and interesting.Guest review byGrahamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We were in Wells for just one day and night. Visited the cathedral and had a wonderful guided tour. We also attended evensong. We visited the Bishop's Palace, where we had a good audio tour. Lots of shops and small restaurants on the High Street.Guest review bymaryUnited States - 10.0
I loved my stay in Glastonbury and was sad to leave.
I loved my stay in Glastonbury and was sad to leave. I attended a week long retreat and did not get enough time to explore. There are so many interesting shops on High Street and little hidden alley ways full of treasure, you almost need a week to explore the shops, let alone explore the spiritual aspects of such a special place. I don't think you have to be overly tuned to percieve the energy of places like Chalice Well, the Tor, or the ruins of the Abbey, and some of the beautiful trees radiate ancient power. If you're coming to Glastonbury, allow at least a week but 2 would be better...just to make sure you have time to just be.Guest review byPaulAustralia - 2.0
Bridgwater is a sad place.
Bridgwater is a sad place. The river trade, upon which its very existence depends, is gone and Bridgwater is not developing a replacement economy. The few shops still open are quiet, charity shops or selling vapes or other useless trash. A depressing place to visit. I stopped here to find Somerset wicker basket sellers. They've gone online!Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Very beautiful town. Bit hilly but have your walking shoes ready as it's picture postcard. Lots of places to see and to go to. The George Inn had the best pub grub burgers. Never eaten ones like it before.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Some of Yeovil is attractive (church area) but the rest is fairly run down. Very noisy nightclub near where we were on Saturday night until 4am…… Tambourino very nice Italian good. Very popular so Definately book. The Ilchester Arms in Ilchester very nice Sunday lunch. Yeovil is great base for visiting Fleet Air Arm and Haynes Motor museum or Sherborne.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Minehead has a holiday feel, probably due to Butlins and people looking for something to do other than stay in there. The town is small, the bus service good. The Shops are all there, and banks too. Cafes abound. The steam train trip is expensive. The Dunster castle is better suited to a car visit because the walk up from the bus stop is hard. The nearby village of Watchet is ok for a visit, got a very reasonable cafe and a pleasant walk on the harbour. NOTE- if you go by coach to get to butlins, be prepared for a very cosy trip on the bus!! It was a shock to find that the Nat Exp coach took us to Taunton, then we had to get the bus 28 ( all included in the ticket) from there to butlins. Very crowded on change over day.Guest review byjeanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Liked · EXCEPTIONALLY PEACEFUL AND CLEAN ACCOMMODATION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. From the moment we we arrived at Maplestone we were made to feel really welcome. Alan showed us to our room and made us a pot of tea with cake and sat with us in the garden, great service. Alan is an excellent host with a friendly, professional manner with great local knowledge. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Exceptional breakfast was plentiful and delicious with great choice. The property has a beautiful, quiet garden with tables and chairs to relax in. Would definitely stay again. Well done Alan and thank you for your making us feel so welcome.Guest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Delightfully old town especially Silver Street with its old shops, market square and fine church. Highlight was revisiting Sweet Surprise, which is still run as it did many years ago - charity tea room/sweet shop/bakery/ arts and crafts souvenirs.Guest review bygerryUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I feel that the high street has been combined with the Clarks village extremely well. I also thought the high street was very attractive with the flower arrangements and a good collection of shops. It seemed to be a thriving high street. We ate at the Bear Inn, which I would definitely recommend to other travellers, excellent food and extremely friendly staff.Guest review bykarenUnited Kingdom
