“I initially found getting the keys at a different location (at a hotel in the center) inconvenient, until I accidentally left my key inside the room. Having a reception where one can get a spare key available 24/7 has some advantages.
The apartment was small, but it had everything I needed.”
“The apartment had a sense of “gemutlichkeit” from the moment we entered - beautifully furnished that reflected the local traditional style. Well appointed with everything we required! Without any doubt the best beds we have had on our long European journey. Bad Ischl displays the historic Habsburg imperial grandeur and elegance - a short 10 minute walk through the beautiful Sissi Parks takes one to the Esplanade with rows of historic imperial houses (including Franz Lehar) and a must stop: Zauner cafe/restaurant. Another few minutes takes one into the city centre.
Visit the Kaiservilla and within some 30 kms : Bad Ischl (park in Obertraun and take the boat across the lake for magnificent views) and St Wolfgang.
Excellent communication and on-site assistance provided + location + fabulous apartment (the only compendium we encountered on our trip) = 10 Stars”
“Very nice resort in a famous and beautiful area. Great for skiing in winter and hiking/swimming in summer. Great for children, too. Public transport (train and bus) are close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”
“It more than lived up to the advertising descriptions. The bed and pillows etc were very comfortable and the bathroom and shower area have to be experienced to appreciate how well it all works. The property has an ambience like no other place that we have stayed, it is extremely quiet and although close to the tourist activity it is just off the main track in its own little backwater with the mill stream the main sound to be heard. Due to the massive construction of the building the temperature remained very stable during our stay. Lastly if you arrive on the ferry from the station on the opposite side of the lake it is only a little over 100m from the ferry terminal.”
