Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaVery good location in the center. Spacious, bright, comfy studio. Parking is available on the main road in front of the building (Lei 2 per hour). Since the building is on the main road there is some traffic noise but we had no problem sleeping. The host family lives on the ground floor.

RomaniaSome slippers would have been a great touch!
The location is great! Central and so close to the town hall where we needed to attend a wedding so it was perfect. It's also close to local shops and we were able to find parking at all times. We loved the house, the rustic feel of it and the tasteful details and finishings.

United KingdomIn the heat of August, with no aircon or fan, whilst the numerous windows provided good relief, it then meant you heard the road.
Great location in a pretty town with enough facilities to walk around. Bar, restaurant, supermarket etc. Close to Sibiu and to the hills. The apartment is large and stylish with good self catering facilities. Note: the pictures do not show, it is all one room. The bed is not in a seperate room to the sofa bed.

PolandIt’s really unique room, it has a bit of a historic vibe which we really liked. The apartment is located in the center of Cisnadie in a row of old, charming tenement houses. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen (apart from standard things, there was even a coffee machine and a toaster). Bathroom is big and perfectly clean. Although the parking is not free, there was no problem with finding a close spot in the public parking in front of the building which is very affordable and easy to use.

ItalyOur apartment was located on the ground floor and the humidity was very high.I suggest the owner add a dehumidifier to compensate for this issue.
The apartment is very simple and new. It matches the description. It is located in the city center and you can park the car directly in front of it (2€ per day).

Romania1. Our three-day stay was end of April, beginning of May, but it was during an unusually cold couple of weeks. Our host showed us how to turn on the heating in the apartment, using the thermostat, which was connected to the house's central heating. And we did, because at night it was very cold - we set it on level 2 (out of 5). But after a couple of hours, we noticed that the heaters were stone cold and remained so throughout the night, so we had to sleep with two blankets. The next day we learned that our host simply turned off the house's central heating and kept it so, with the exception of maybe a few hours in the morning. We froze every single night. 2. We booked a double apartment and the other family we travelled with booked another one. The first night, my partner took a shower and when it was my turn, there was hot water for only a couple of minutes. Our host mentioned only the next day that the storage water heater (which can only hold a definite amount of hot water) that was located in our bathroom served both our apartment and the next one, where our relatives stayed. So it was not only I who didn't manage to take a shower, but also another family of two + a 1 year old and a 5 year old. First of all, a water heater cannot serve two apartments that host at least four adults (not to mention the children) and second of all, if such is the case, we would've understood IF the host would've AT LEAST explained the situation from the beginning and thus avoid the situation of having to finish showering with freezing water.
The apartment is spacious, bright, very clean, nicely furnished, the kitchenette is fully equipped - the pictures do it justice. It's located in the middle of Cisnădie, very easy to find, but the street is quiet, we had no problems noise-wise.

RomaniaWe asked the host to turn up the heating as it was freezing cold. He told us that the heating comes on when the temperature drops below 20 degrees. I have my temperature set at 20 degrees in my house as well and believe me, it was colder than that. I do not know where they keep the thermometer cause I couldn't find one in the room. Needles to say, the heat never actually came on. We couldn't find any paper towels or toilet paper in the bathroom. We looked for it everywhere in the apartment and of course we didn't call the host in the middle of the night to bring us some toilet paper. Maybe they should store some in the apartment for cases like this. Also, the bed is not a double as falsely advertised. Or maybe we weren't in the same apartment as advertised because there were two single beds one near each other instead of one double with quite a big space in between, this made sleep quite uncomfortable for a couple. In conclusion we expected more attention to detail from the host as the apartment is lovely.
The room is very nice but I think we received another room that the one advertised on the website but that didn't bothered us. The location is nice right in the centre of Cisnadie and the mix between old and new in the room is quite nice.

RomaniaThe host. He was not ok at all. We arrived during the day and I could already tell it was cold inside. I asked him about the heating and he said to call him in the evening if we feel is still cold and he will fix it. So, we went out and returned at about 10 pm. Guess what? It was still really cold inside. Like 17-18 degrees cold. Both my wife and cought a cold already in the days before and cold air is the last thing you want... I called him and after 10 mins on the phone he simply refused to turn on the heating. The room had 3 radiators. In his own words - "I'm not gonna burn the gas for you, as these old houses need more time to worm up... Just put on another blanket if you are cold...." He also explained to me how he is obligated to have a min of 16 degrees C during summer time (it was sept 21 st), witch of course is a lie. There is no such law here, I looked it up. As it was very late and I could not find another acommodation in the small town, we were forced to sleep sick in that room. Too bad for the place, that is really nice. Personally I'd pay money NOT to stay there again.
Great location in an old restored house in the center of the town. Very clean room and bathroom. Kitchen packed with everything you might need.
