How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Verified reviewVery nice location and exterior
It was damp and smelled of mould. There was no television and it was run down - it’s clear they are not maintaining the place and are letting it go to waste. And very expensive..

Verified reviewThe location - effectively on the beach, close to the sea, away from the crowds. It was really a quiet and relaxing vacation. The concept of the property as a whole is very nice, however there are a few spots to improve on, as I will detail in the "what didn't you like" section. The terrace with plenty of confortable couches, amazing background music, bar and restaurant is the real deal - I could spend days just sitting there. We had the ground floor rooms with view to the terrace and sea, and they were Ok. What is missing though is a place to actually organize all your stuff, given that you're there for a few days and not just for a night. I'd add that. I didn't feel the need for a TV, the room did not have one but who needs a TV when you have the sea? Also a small closet or shelves in the bathroom would help a lot. The people at the Hacienda were kind and helpful and we had a very good interaction - a big thank you to all the staff.
I'd like to see a change in a few areas: - The breakfast: is ok, but lacks variety. You will find mostly the same food every morning. If you're not picky, you'll get away with it, but there could be more for vegetarians and maybe different things on different days. - The restaurant: a few items on the menu, but again nothing really for vegetarians. - The prices for the bar and food items - I really haven't been to the Black Sea shores for a long time but comparing to other locations abroad they seem to be very high.

Verified reviewAbsolute outstanding location, terrace with decent selection of great quality on place opened till around 9 PM with superb music and staff - great value for money for a 3 stars property and the current rating clearly doesn’t make justice
Bathrooms would use bit of refreshment, Wifi poor signal

Verified reviewThe location is beautiful, the staff is nice and helpful, the rooms are ok although basic.
Although the existing staff is very nice and helpful, it looks like they would need more resources to keep the location more comfortable. I didn't like that there is no cleaning service during the stay, which in a location with sand brought in the rooms is highly required.

Verified reviewThe facilities were not well maintained: no lights on the stairs and hallway at night, sun beds and umbrellas looked deteriorated, deserted aspect overall. Cleaning was very poor: we had to request the change of pillows because they were very smelly, used soap bars left in the shower, stained towels (just 2 big towels and one for the hands, even though we were 2 people). Very pricey food at the restaurant.

Verified reviewGeneral setup
From the pictures and from a distance it looks very nice, the problem is when you get closer and enter the room. Everything is cheap, mattresses with holes, furniture worth two lei and minimal, insufficient for the functionality of a hotel room, a fridge, cheapest you can get, no TV, some small tables from Ikea, walls that will be finished with mortar and sand but look like an unfinished basement. The bathroom is also cheap with the cheapest consumables possible. The cleaning is with a broom on the floors, I don't think they saw a mop after each guest. So the appearance and utility of a "Student/cultural dormitory" with support services of a public toilet in the bus station. Breakfast is with Lidl and canned ingredients, with poor service, monosyllabic answers and restaurant prices with pretensions

Verified reviewThe location was absolutely stunning, just steps from the sea, truly exceptional, and the coffee at the bar was outstanding.
Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. We paid the full, non-refundable amount at the time of booking, but upon arrival the receptionist greeted us with indifference. When she finally decided to show us the rooms, she casually mentioned that one of them didn’t have a TV. When we asked for details, she claimed she had to return to reception because “other guests were waiting” – even though no one was there. Later, the TV from my room (shared with my wife) was taken and placed in the child’s room, where he was staying with his two grandmothers. To our shock, it was simply leaning against the wall, at risk of falling over with the slightest touch. My wife went back to reception to request it be fixed, and was promised it would be done the next day – which never happened. We essentially paid for a facility we never got to use. Cleanliness was also a serious issue. Throughout the entire stay, no one came to clean the rooms, and towels were only changed on the second-to-last day. The food was below mediocre and overpriced – thankfully, the restaurant next door saved us from going hungry. To make matters worse, in 3 out of 4 nights I was woken up by ant bites. While most of the staff were friendly, the receptionist’s attitude was openly disrespectful and left a very poor impression.

Verified reviewI really liked that the place is perfectly located right on the beach.
The value for money is not acceptable. This is a place where towels are not changed, no cleaning is done during the stay, the shower area in the bathroom was full of mold, and the fridge didn’t cool at all.
