Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

RomaniaThis time, although I asked for a non smoking room, it was obvious that somebody smoked in the room before. Since I arrived late at night, was extremely tired, I tried to open the window and just aerate the room… please try to be more careful about it in the future… thanks!
This was not my first stay at this hotel… usually the rooms are clean and ok, that’s why I come back…

RomaniaI did not like that I was not provided with room numbers or floor of the booked rooms, even after confirming the booking and paying the full amount of money, which is, at least, not appropriate! I also didn't like the fact that rooms are really small and there isn't a table where two people can sit! Furthermore, you aren't allowed to call and order anything, like a drink - - the telephone doesn't work in the first place... In short, the only thing you can do in the room is just to sleep. Even the TV isn't situated in a place that can be comfortable to watch from bed. Also, it is obligatory to pay for the breakfast even if you want to opt out, if you want to spend the morning outside, for example, or if you are just not interested in the breakfast! Also, It sounded like I was extremely and unnecessarily demanding and eccentric when I attended the front desk (in person) before the booking date and requested a print out of the booking confirmation (for the 4 guests I booked for) and only after a long resisting discussion that I could get what I wanted (not all of it, actually!). However, when we arrived to check in, the officer said that the booking was for one person! And I needed to provide the hardly-obtained paperwork (that I was almost convinced that they were not necessary) so that the other 3 guests could check in!
I did like the location as it is relatively close to the city centre. I liked the restaurant and the variety of food provided. The hall downstairs is spacious with many seats for visitors. The elevators are big and helpful.

United KingdomThe room I was in had a safe - that wasn't connected to the power so... useless. I informed the team when I checked out. That was the only negative for me.
The twin room was clean and well supplied. The aircon installed was a very welcome feature on a day of 40+ degrees outside. The staff I met were friendly and happy to speak English. Price was very reasonable. Breakfast was good - so long as you got there early enough! Whilst the hotel is approximately 25-30 minutes walk from the Old Town, there are good trolleybus and bus services within 6 - 10 minutes walk and fares are very reasonable.

GermanyI'm not sure how this hotel has 4 stars when it's actually a 3 stars. Carpet was dirty with lots of stains, old bed covers...and u have to leave a deposit for the mini bar.
The room is spacious and that's about it. the breakfast was excellent. Location wise 15 min walking to city center and main attractions

BelgiumIt is possible that the internet connection should be improved in the rooms, any effort being really appreciated this way. I did not appreciate the fact that there is some frictions between the restaurant staff in front of the guests during the breakfast. It is about showing respect to the guests and if there is an issue about the restaurant tasks, better to have a discret conversation between colleagues, in a private place, in order to maintain a professional work.
I liked the hotel design and the free space in the rooms of the lobby, but also the fact that the hotel reception was faster in finding or calling a taxi. Of course, I would like to suggest that the TV channels should have also more programmes in some foreign languages (English, French etc.).
