Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I'd add a curtain to the balcony room, although there are shutters.
An established apartment right in the heart of Bucharest. The place was built in 1939 and has a unique mid twentieth century aesthetic. Lavinia is a great host, speaks English perfectly and can provide any info you need. Everything is on offer for guests, including a kitchen, washing machine and spotlessly clean amenities. It's a big apartment with space for privacy. Luxurious, but practical furnishings. If it's available, I'd book this place without hesitation. It's a great deal for what you get.

This apartment is located in a central area, really close from the old town The apartment has such a vintage vibe, it’s a great immersion into Romania! Last, Lavinia is a wonderful host, available for chats or for giving advice :)

Apartment was big, and clean, also easy to check in. It’s pretty quiet area but located in big street so even late night to walk back to the apartment from downtown was feeling very safe.

Not negative, just something to be aware of - it's not a hostel situation but large private rooms in a family home. Because of some technical error (I think), the website says that the units have their own kitchens, and that there is a bar, but this isn't so. One side of my double bed was really creaky. And while the place is wonderfully peaceful most of the time, there are occasional traffic sounds from outside and family sounds from inside, so earplugs are good if that's going to bother you.
Each lovely, cosy and very spacious room is like a little studio flat, and there are two shared bathrooms and use of the kitchen if you need it. Everything is clean, cosy, well designed and well equipped. I slept better than I had my entire trip. A good supermarket is a two-minute walk away, and even closer is the little Maad City Coffee Shop, which I highly recommend for good coffee and vibey music.

Everything was great! Room was very specious and clean. Very big bathroom. Owner was helpful with very cute kid. Was going to stay only for a night busy ended up extended my stay.

This is such a charming place! The location couldn’t be more perfect, just central enough but not in the middle of crowded areas, quiet at night so you can sleep well, the entire apartment, including the rooms, is spacious and comfortable. The host, Lavinia, really put a lot of soul(and work) into this place :) clean, peaceful, with modern amenities among the quirky homely vintage decor, it makes for a memorable stay in itself in this bustling city! PS there’s a balcony and the view was incredibly cool!!

I had an amazing stay at this apartment! The location is perfect, with easy access to public transportation and a convenience store nearby. The host was very responsive and helpful, and provided clear instructions for check-in. The apartment itself is clean and well-equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the living room was spacious and bright, with a lovely balcony, furnished with a small table and comfy chairs. Overall, this apartment exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the city.

I am recommend this place!!
Definitely recommend. Many advantages to the place, excellent location. Many buses pass right by the entrance of the building. Very close to the center. The place is clean. Tidy. Friendly and good people run the place. They are always happy to help. I felt very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay , I was there for 14 days.

The building is old and at first it gives a bad impression, but really who cares.
The room was absolutely value for money. The apartment was really the house where the people who own it live and so it was clean every moment and contained anything you needed. Lavinia and her mom, Anna, were always smiling and helpful. The apartment was 800m from the old town and the Universitat station. It's easy to walk (10 minutes), but you can also take a bus, which passes below the house. Note that in Bucharest you can go everywhere by bus and with a wait, no longer than 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend the room.

The character includes some squeaky floors, but nothing easily can be done about that, and that’s what happens to wooden floors. Isn’t that much of a bother tho.
Just a really comfortable relaxing home with a great host and plenty of character. And the windows do have blinds, they are external shutters operated from the indoor pulley.
