Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The bath tub did not have a curtain or any kind of protection agains the water coming out of it when taking a shower.
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the property offered a parking included in the price

There was no electric sockets on one side of the bed but I didn't need it. That is something easily solvable.
Clean, practical and spacious. Parking in front of the apartment and ease of access to the flat. Kitchen well equipped and bathtub in the bathroom is a great. Window in the bathroom is a great plus!

Just an advice; It would be good to replace the fork, spoon and pan.
The hause was clean and comfortable. We were able to rest at home. Recomended.

It’s a very nice, good and clean apartment! First of all, I actually booked just a studio. Before the check in I spoke with Mirela, while she sent me the instruction for the check in. She offered me a free upgrade to a one bedroom apartment with living room. Which was actually quite nice 😊 At the moment I arrived, while I found out that the hot water wasn’t working. I called Mirela, she called her colleague Sacha the owner of the building. He arrived pretty fast in like 4-5 minutes, after checking everything about this problem. It seemed to be a general problem over the whole building. As I were told by him and the workers that it can take 10 min or maybe one hour, also in a meanwhile as Sasha has more properties around the area from Giroc and Timisoara. I were offered to move to one of his other properties, (VISAJ Residence) which was even a more better apartment. So first he took me with his car to go up and forth to see that apartment, then go back to check about the general problem again. As I didn’t wanted to wait any longer, so I just simply decided to moved to the other apartment he offered me. Also he was asking me just in case that I don’t know the road there, to follow him with my car to that apartment. For me in case wasn’t necessary, anyway I really appreciated that. After all, I must say I’m very very satisfied with everything about my stay. Next time when I’m back in Timisoara, then I’ll definitely come back and stay here again!!

Quiet place, away from city's noise. Having a baby it was easy to go and walk on the streets or go 5 minutes by car to the park. Host was following up, making sure we had all we needed.

Quiet, modern, free parking
Even though everything was last minute, the host was very fast to accommodate us , good communication. The property was clean, quiet and comfortable. A very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

It was pretty far away from the city center, but we were using taxi that was very cheap so all good 😊 we needed more blankets for 4 of us, there were only two
It was really nice, spacios kitchen, nicely clean bathroom, and it was warm.
