Booking.com guest review guidelinesTo keep the rating score and review content relevant for your upcoming trip, we archive reviews older than 24 months.
Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
Once a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We will use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content as well as the property replies to that content.
We will allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is that of a distributor of feedback from both guest and property.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc...).

눉Maybe the stairs at the entrance: they could be a bit cumbersome if you're carrying a large luggage.
눇The restaurant is fabulous, both the ambient and the meals. The hotel staff also exceeded our expectations because they offered us plenty of support for our lost luggage.

눇Peaceful hotel near to everything. Quite a big room, and breakfast was ok. Hotel in good condition. There's everything you need, not much other services (or we didn't need).

눇A very comfortable hotel well located for exploring St Petersburg. On a quiet street so no traffic noise which was welcome. About 10 minutes' walk from the Summer Gardens and Field of Mars so central sights easily walkable. Friendly staff, very clean room and decent breakfast. Thanks for a very relaxing visit!

눉Twice we had no hot water for showering. Management said the city periodically cuts off hot water supply. Once they knew this was happening they should have notified all residents this was going to happen. We were never notified of this problem. Since the hot water reduction happens periodically, the hotel management should make certain they have enough water in reserve to heat in their boiler. We discovered that is what other hotels in St.Petersburg do.
눇Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful.

눇I had a very nice stay at the hotel. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station, 10 to 15 minute walk from Nevesky Prospect. And there are post offices, supermarket and nice bakery nearby. The breakfast is also good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even provide maps with Chineses on it! The room is not very big, but it has everything we need, hair dryer, safer, etc. I would recommend it to my friends if they come to St Petersburg.

눉Charge for visa registration. Previous hotel in Moscow did it for free. Web says registration was not needed if you stayed less than 7 WORKING days. I stayed 2 non-working days. Receptionist said registration is mandatory (!?). Immigration at departure did not ask to see the registration.
눇Good room and facilities, good breakfast, good WiFi.

눇Good location. About 15-20 mins walk to Nevsky prospekt. Within 100m from the hotel there are grocery store, currency exchange and cafe opposite Arbat Nord Hotel. Staffs are friendly and rooms are properly cleaned every day.

눉Bad wifi this time. String signal, but does not mean much if the fixed internet line, coming to the hotel, has a cheap subscription with just a few megabytes.

눉The hired taxi was quite late to pick me up to the airport, but he was friendly and I got there fine.
눇Breakfast was very nice. Everything was so clean. I love that the restaurant was open for a nice beer and snacks during the day. Cozy and not too big; felt like a nice guest house.

눉Just a note, not a dislike: didn't get much help from the shades on the last floor (attic), so given the fact that the white nights were at their peak, that resulted in not a lot of sleep... But who wants to sleep in St. Pete, during the white nights? :)
눇It's a very decent hotel in a quiet area, walking distance from everything. Staff speaks English, breakfast is proper Russian quality. Probably the thing about this hotel is that it's actually not far from anything - about 25 min walk to the Moskovskiy Railway station, 10 minutes from the first bridges over the Neva, 5-10 minutes to some of the coolest new fusion restaurants and bars in St. Petersburg, 10 min from Nevskiy Prospekt. Inside, all is of decent quality, brand new.
