Maybe the stairs at the entrance: they could be a bit cumbersome if you're carrying a large luggage.

The restaurant is fabulous, both the ambient and the meals. The hotel staff also exceeded our expectations because they offered us plenty of support for our lost luggage.

Showering meant stepping into a rather high sided bath.

Great value for money. Great breakfast and brillant box breakfast on 2nd day. Bathroom good size, clean and well lit. Would go again

Peaceful hotel near to everything. Quite a big room, and breakfast was ok. Hotel in good condition. There's everything you need, not much other services (or we didn't need).

A very comfortable hotel well located for exploring St Petersburg. On a quiet street so no traffic noise which was welcome. About 10 minutes' walk from the Summer Gardens and Field of Mars so central sights easily walkable. Friendly staff, very clean room and decent breakfast. Thanks for a very relaxing visit!

Twice we had no hot water for showering. Management said the city periodically cuts off hot water supply. Once they knew this was happening they should have notified all residents this was going to happen. We were never notified of this problem. Since the hot water reduction happens periodically, the hotel management should make certain they have enough water in reserve to heat in their boiler. We discovered that is what other hotels in St.Petersburg do.

Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful.

Please put hard soap, as requested many times before... We, old school people, need it.

    Flawless as usual. THANKS.

I had a very nice stay at the hotel. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station, 10 to 15 minute walk from Nevesky Prospect. And there are post offices, supermarket and nice bakery nearby. The breakfast is also good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They even provide maps with Chineses on it! The room is not very big, but it has everything we need, hair dryer, safer, etc. I would recommend it to my friends if they come to St Petersburg.

Charge for visa registration. Previous hotel in Moscow did it for free. Web says registration was not needed if you stayed less than 7 WORKING days. I stayed 2 non-working days. Receptionist said registration is mandatory (!?). Immigration at departure did not ask to see the registration.

Good room and facilities, good breakfast, good WiFi.

Good location. About 15-20 mins walk to Nevsky prospekt. Within 100m from the hotel there are grocery store, currency exchange and cafe opposite Arbat Nord Hotel. Staffs are friendly and rooms are properly cleaned every day.

Bad wifi this time. String signal, but does not mean much if the fixed internet line, coming to the hotel, has a cheap subscription with just a few megabytes.

The hired taxi was quite late to pick me up to the airport, but he was friendly and I got there fine.

Breakfast was very nice. Everything was so clean. I love that the restaurant was open for a nice beer and snacks during the day. Cozy and not too big; felt like a nice guest house.

Just a note, not a dislike: didn't get much help from the shades on the last floor (attic), so given the fact that the white nights were at their peak, that resulted in not a lot of sleep... But who wants to sleep in St. Pete, during the white nights? :)

It's a very decent hotel in a quiet area, walking distance from everything. Staff speaks English, breakfast is proper Russian quality. Probably the thing about this hotel is that it's actually not far from anything - about 25 min walk to the Moskovskiy Railway station, 10 minutes from the first bridges over the Neva, 5-10 minutes to some of the coolest new fusion restaurants and bars in St. Petersburg, 10 min from Nevskiy Prospekt. Inside, all is of decent quality, brand new.
