The entrance feels like a train station. Coffee nothing special. Otherwise great.

Room was very quiet and comfortable, the bed was great. Wifi good. Interesting history and great surroundings. Pool was also really nice. Restaurant was reasonably priced for the type of hotel.

There were 2 things we experienced, that if we didn’t, I would rate 10/10 instead of 6/10. 1.) The water pressure for shower was awful. 2.) The noises. We heard many neighbors through the ventilation system. We did not hear any noises from outside however, even when cars drive by.

The Palace is so beautiful and so spacious. The staff was all very kind professional and helpful. The bed is big and very comfortable! I think the breakfast was outstanding.

Restaurant services - we were not able to order anything in a reasonable time. Spa facilities have been a bit over-crowded, maybe, some management might be applied.

The hotel has an extremely noisy ventilation system. They know about the problem but fail to inform guests before the time. The system (compressor) kicks on every 5 minutes for 20 seconds, it's so loud I think the dead wake up momentarily. And once you are awake it will not allow you to sleep. When we complained in the morning that none of us had a good night's sleep they told us we should have informed them about the problem they already knew about and they would have switched it off in the middle of a very humid heatwave??? I asked for a complete refund they refused to refund the night we spent but refunded me for the nights I haven't stayed. Hotel staff are very unfriendly no apology given by the staff or hotel for the inconvenience. Its like they are doing you a favour by speaking to you. Restaurant service is very bad staff are inattentive and generally don't even care that you are there. At one point at breakfast we had to set our own table in a 5 star establishment?? What a joke! Save your money and energy and stay somewhere else. There are no porters to assist with baggage, again 5 star?? In my opinion this is a complete scam.

The building looks good. But is spoiled by staff with bad attitude and bad service all around.

you feel totally lost in this place, there is no life, it is abondoned and depressive atmosphere ! i have no idea how the ratings can be so good for this place ! yes the building is beautiful from the outside and partially it is to be seen as a museum ! if you see it as a museum visit, it is o.k. .... if you expect a 5 star hotel , then this place disapoint totally....

the building looks from outside exeptional ! but inside it is a total mess ! it feels totally abondoned, the lobby bar does not at all meet the expectaitons of a 5 star hotel ! the way to the rooms bring you through a long underground corridor that is similar to a way in a new york metro station.

The setting is unique and beautiful. It is difficult to know if you stepped in an historical building being rehabilitated or in beautiful building on its decline. Either way, the building and its facilities are subpar, broken things are unfixem, the pool tile perimeters are not adequate and simply dangerous when wet, The bathrobes are branded “Hotel Metropol” (One of Moscow’s most famous hotel) . A five star hotel should not operate with ”hand me down” linens and bathrobes. This could have Ben a fantastic place with minimal effort. The entrance of the hotel sets the tone, it is a deceivingly small anecdotical entrance.

The breakfast was minimalistic, even quasi absent one day. Always the same offering, no diversity. No freshly made dishes excerpt the eggs, either scrambled, or as Omelets cooked in excess of fat, the restaurant isn’t better. The carbonara pasta were overcooked and contained dairy cream.

Certainly not a 5 star hotel, in obvious decay, and very cold at night. Felt like a ghosttown. Wellness center was fine but jacuzzi wasn't hot.

Hammam was great and wellness center is free which is a plus.

The hotel itself doesn't deserve the 5 or 4 star rating: very thin mattress and blanket in the deluxe room, cheap towels etc. The internet connection is very slow, unusable for remote work. "Soviet" style interiors and service.

Eggs Benedict for breakfast, historical building. The reception was friendly enough to let me leave after the first night without any penalties, even though I booked for 6 nights.
