Misunderstanding on checkout and check in. Booking.com shows both checkin and checkout is from 12AM to 12AM. I clarified with front desk upon check in what is the check out time because Booking.com shows 12AM to 12AM. Sofitel staff did confirm we can check out 11:59PM the following day. However, I had a call from their staff the following day asking if we are extending our stay or doing a late check out. This needs to be rectified, because this is also the first time I'm seeing both checkin and checkout time is from 12AM to 12 AM. I dislike having awkward conversations with hotel management regarding a misunderstanding which should never have happened. All other bookings I had clearly specify check in and check out times. It is unimaginable for a reputable hotel such as Sofitel managed by Accor to make such clerical mistake of keeping a wide range for check in and check out time in Booking.com, their staff confirming it to be correct, and then to be told our family needs to check out by 2pm. Our short stay was meant to relieve myself from a strenous work week and enjoy the beautiful sea view with my family, but this awkward experience just made it a little unpleasant. We firmly believe this is only a misunderstanding. We only hope those check in and check out times posted in Booking.com can be rectified if indeed it was incorrect.

The gym didnt have water, gym needs more attention to its condition and the machines and its resources Jacuzzi in the gym area weren’t working

Upon arrival, reception insisted that payment had not been completed, even though booking.com had already deducted the amount from my credit card on 26th May. We had to pay again at the reception.We were double charged, and still no refund has been made to us. It's now over 2weeks and our claim has not been honoured. The bed had abit worn out/ uncomfortable mattress.

The facilities were clean, The restaurant had good food selections. The location is very good, near to corniche and there are also nice restaurants and cafes nearby

The staff were very kind and welcoming actually i was reserving two rooms but they upgraded my reservation to suite with two rooms because there was difficulty to find two rooms besides each other. I really appreciate Mr. Talal the manager for his quick action and support also i would like to thank Supervisor Mr. Hamad for giving us late checkout.

The only area that fell a bit short of expectations was the view from the balcony, which was not as appealing as anticipated. I believe the hotel could enhance the guest experience further by improving and tidying up the area in front of the property, creating a more pleasant and scenic view for those using the balconies.

Good Stay. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sofitel Al Khobar The Corniche, and overall, it was a very good experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, ensuring a smooth and pleasant check-in process. The room was spacious, elegantly designed, and exceptionally clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough throughout my stay.

The location is great. The hotel was clean, except on my second day they failed to come and clean the room. The breakfast open buffet was great, lots of variety and good quality, however, the in-room food quality was very poor. I ordered twice and both times were awful! Parking spaces are limited.

Great breakfast! Room is clean but small. Complementary Mini bar is great but need to be communicated to the guest The bathroom is outdated, overall room requires renovation. For a 5 stars hotel, there should be an electric iron.
