How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. The fact that lizards come inside everyday( it’s hard when you have a phobia) but the staff were here to take them out . No recommendation from the owners for places to visit , that would have been a plus for tourists

We got some fresh fruits from the trees in the garden (coconut and papaya) and we loved it. A rental car is beneficial as walking distances are quite long. Nice starting point to explore Praslin.

Verified reviewThis place truly lives up to its name — a perfect hideaway! I absolutely loved the wide setback area with a large lawn that keeps you away from the noise of the road. Step outside, and you’re greeted with a stunning, peaceful ocean view that instantly puts you at ease. Staying here was such a pleasure — the room was spacious with an incredibly comfortable bed! Housekeeping came every day to tidy up and take out the trash, which made our stay wonderfully comfortable and enjoyable!

Verified reviewThe location of the bungalows are excellent, a few minutes drive from the beautiful Anse Lazio, and far away from the busy areas. The owners and the staff are extremely kind and flexible. Upon arrival we have received coconuts and tropical fruits. The bungalow is big, the bed is huge. The place is extremely clean, the staff cleans it every day.
The equipment of the bathroom is a bit obsolete.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! THEY ROB YOUR MONEY!!!!!! When we arrived the place, we have seen a really bad place, it is not like the photos and we decided to leave and ask to the property if they accept it, the woman on the reception talked with her boss and accepted to refund our money back and we have left from property in 30 minutes. Then they took the full amount for 4 days via Booking and later refused to return back and not open our calls. They feel very comfortable to STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! Apartment was also disgusting, there is no windows in the rooms and bugs everywhere. It is not clean as mentioned in the fake comments. There are many nice places to stay in Seychells, stay away from this place and people!!!
You are making a very bad false accusation. When you arrive you said that you thought there was a restaurant and you decided to leave as you said in 30 mins. You never stayed at our property and you cannot describe any experiences. Now you are saying all those false accusation just to get a refund. You are a liar. You booked at our establishment just to enter Seychelles and going to stay at other place. The government of Seychelles is aware of all those bookings and going to stay at those establishments which are not license. You should have checked on Booking.com website what we offer. We are a self catering business and do not have a restaurant. Now you are say all those false accusations just to get a refund. We have never got a bad review in our business life. Can you show any photos saying all those liars that you are faking as a proof. We have never got a guest like you in our life saying all those false accusations. Verified reviewLocation of the property was good… it was very close to Anse lazio beach and various super markets. Since this was a self catering 1 bhk bungalow had a beautiful garden and all amenities like fridge, cookware, cutlery, washing machine etc. the staff was good and helpful.
One night there was a complete electricity shutdown on the island .. there is no power back up in this property and it was very hot that night and we weren’t able to get good sleep.
