Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This allows us to verify that our reviews come from real guests like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or their comfortable room than someone who’s stayed at the property?
We want you to share your story, with both the good and the not-so-good. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinions and experiences, which is critical in helping guests make informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, so we treat them with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after it's moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
After a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We'll use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content, and for the property responses to that content.
We'll allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is to be a feedback distributor for both guests and properties.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. SwedenFelt a bit lacking in service since it was a Monday-Tuesday stay, so maybe there was not the high tempo staff require to act quickly/with a smile/go the extra mile and without delay. Glasses in room were dirty, room feeling a bit cold and floor dirty. At breakfast not one staff member greeted and we could have been anyone that just walked in off the street- no one asked our room number, nor did they show us to a free table. There was no real connection with staff at all. I’ve always stayed there on a special occasion and have mentioned it at time of booking. In my experience that’s a hint for staff to do “that little extra” like put a chocolate in the room or at least ask if we’d like a drink in the bar to celebrate. Never had this here. Maybe third time lucky if we stay again...
Second stay, always appreciate the interior and design aspects. Breakfast choices are fabulous and not boring .

Denmarkmaybe the hotel could consider not to have loud lounge music playing at the same time as people are checking in. I myself found it very difficult to hear any information from the receptionist and felt like an idiot when asking her to repeat the information for the third time.
The hotel has a fantastic atmosphere. Cool interior and a lovely indoor courtyard. The room itself was lovely and the bed was great although I wouldn’t call it a king sized bed. Me and my husband has never slept closer except for my dorm room back in the days. Really close to everything with exceptional restaurants just around the corner. I will especially like to mention the fantastic vine bar just up the street from the hotel.

AustraliaThe hotel is geared towards the bar scene if needing anything in the evening it's very congested to get assistance. Also the restaurant is great for a high end meal but it doesn't cater for people who have been traveling who want simpler meals.

SpainThe gym facilities are very meager. I know they recommend to use a partner gym that is nearby and open 24 hours, but the thought of leaving the hotel dressed in workout clothes early in the morning in Winter is not such a feasible option.
The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the old town and right off the main squares, not to mention just a five minute walk from Central Station. The rooms are nice, the staff was nice, and breakfast was very good in the hotel's comfy atrium restaurant. Would definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again.

United States of AmericaCan be little loud in the evenings when the bar gets busy. The reception can get a little chaotic given that there is no delineation between the check-in desk and the bar. The on site gym leaves a lot to be desired, however they do have an option to use a gym down the street

United Arab EmiratesI used to stay here all the time when it was under the previous owner. This was the best boutique hotel in Malmo and the service was impeccable. It has now changed into a nightclub wannabe with the reception being a bar, the decor taken too far and the noise levels and general commotion at the reception / restaurant area being way too much. The cost has been the service levels that are now downgraded. No business center and no willingness of the staff to even help with printing an important document. A guest in front of me, who had stayed the night with his wife wanted to leave his cabin sized bags behind until 6PM but the most the hotel could offer was to 3PM, and that was being kind he was told. Pity, but I guess some people will like this... not me however.
I like the location, which is right dead center of town with easy access to all. The bed linen are very comfortable and the extra large pillows are very nice as well. Breakfast was OK but too many people and not enough space where the food was actually served, made the whole experience a bit annoying.

United States of America1) Music in the halls and at breakfast constant. & mainly too loud- felt assaultive first thing in the a.m. when I asked if it could be turned down- staff said " no"! 2) The light in the restaurant was too dim and the menus written in small font so hard to read; 3) Food was expensive and odd in its presentation. Small amounts that were mainly appropriate for starters was designed to be the main meal, with the intention apparently that, you would order several dishes. However the cost would have been $30 -$50 just for the several dishes- not including dessert etc. Highly stylized dishes, usually creative and unusual. However sometimes you also need some ordinary options- a stew, a bowl of soup or a small steak. I was at the hotel 10 days and ate there 5 times- tasty plate but not enough for dinner unless you spent a large amount.
Double doors for each room increased the quiet in the room; bed ,duvet, pillows were excellent; breakfast was great; staff friendly, pleasant and tried to be helpful.

We let the staff know and they sent someone up straight away who changed the angle of the shower so it didn't wet the floor so much. LatviaNo restaurant in the hotel? But that is hardly a complaint, given that Lilla Torg is 30 seconds away, with all its restaurants and cafes....But I had to write something here:-)
Mäster Johan is the best hotel in Malmö! Its design is modern and beautiful. Breakfast is abundant and tasty. Rooms are large, stylish and so comfortable! I have been there twice already, and I will return. Oh, and location is so close to the center and all the restaurants and shops - one needs to walk no more than 30 seconds to reach Lilla Torg square.

ChinaWhen the light is opened in the WC, you hear a "Beep" every 1 or 2 minutes and it can be annoying. However, if you shut the door of the WC, you can not hear it any more.

SwedenPerfect for all kind of activities within the city! The breakfast is pretty good, nice and comfortable bed, old fashioned toilet that invites for a bath! We had a meal at the hotel that we ordered from their small list and it was quite ok as well!
