Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainCheck out times of 11 am and check in times of 3 pm are not in use in the rest of the world and are quite antiquated. They put international clients / guests in a bad mood when you are checking in and checking out. I understand the staffing needs that are behind these hours, but the message you are sending out is that you care more about your staff than your guests and that clients are not actually paying for 24 hours at your hotel, but instead 20 hours of hotel accommodation. More balanced times of 12 noon and 1 pm check in make more sense and still allow rooms to be turned over. If that is changed. There was also reformations of the building that guests were not warned about before arriving. In addition, the workers started at 6:30 am and had music and chats all day outside windows. While this is a temporary situation I imagine, Management really needs to speak to them.
The staff were kind, polite, and helpful at reception and breakfast. We were also upgraded to a slightly bigger room to speed up checking in as the staff saw that we were really tired from no sleep and all day travel.

United States of AmericaThe check-in service was a little annoying. I arrived a bit early and told check-in time was 3 pm....which is fine. However as I waited, almost every group that arrived was allowed to check-in. The other minor issue was the room temperature didn't seem to be adjustable. It was a bit warm which affected my sleep a bit.

SwedenThe place was a bit dusty oooh my God!Our room was so dusty and i'm allergic to dust 🙊.The elevator was also dusty .We understand that the hotel is near the main road but please make effort to dusty the room before the guest check in.Our room was not used for years i guess hahaha so it had an unpleasant feeling/smelling especially the bathroom. We recommend to open the widows and taps and showers for some minutes to refresh the room .Also we noticed you don't change the purple covers for the pillows it was so dusty and it's not OK and hygiene.
It was classy and cozy. The staff was really nice ,we were welcomed with Erica and wow is made our day perfect. In the morning at the breakfast the staff were keeping checking if everything was fine and refilling our coffee cups.

United KingdomThe room was very noisy, we were on the floor just above reception (I think technically 0.5! But with 1st floor numbers) and our window backed onto the street - at the weekend especially but each night there was shouting outside, and always a street cleaner very early in the morning which came right past the window and was VERY loud. The room was a little small, but we did go for the budget option - it just didn't really have much storage for clothes and luggage.
Breakfast options were varied and tasty, and gave us lots of choice (including my husband with allergies). Staff were attentive and kind, and helpful with local knowledge of trains. The room was comfortable, and the en-suite bathroom a good size. The location was fantastic - very close to the train station and suitably close to Helsingborg Arena, where our convention was based.

SwedenThere was often a lot of foot traffic in the entry way/front desk and outside was often double parked cars with drop-off and pick-ups. Scaffolding and remodeling added to the congestion.
