The only glitch was my early check out. I had pre-arranged with staff to check out early and collect a breakfast bag to go, but there was nobody at reception in the morning, with about 6 people waiting to check out. A bell at the desk would be useful.

The bathroom was a bit worn-down and could have been cleaned more thoroughly. My girlfriend was uncomfortable with the smell in the room. The same smell was even more noticeable when we passed the kitchen while walking out on Strandgatan. We noticed that all of Visby was very slippery when we visited you, but we would still urge the hotel to do something about the slope leading up from the guest parking area up to Strandgatan in wintertime! It was very hard for us to drive up to Strandgatan from the parking area - one of us had to stand guard up on the road while the other one drove the car up the slope in a speed which hadn't been safe without the assistance of the other person. Both the car and the winter tires were bought brand new in '22, so I'd suspect that other guests had problems as well last weekend - unless their car had four-wheel drive and / or winter tires with spikes. As a city dweller, I don't buy tires with spikes anymore - the only time I've experienced any issue with my tires is at the hotel's parking area last weekend! I fear an accident could happen very easily, so staff should take head!

It is outdated to a large degree. The carpets are repaired with duc tape in some places. Furniture is damaged. The soap in the shower was diluted with water, the toilet not cleaned properly. In the public bathrooms downstairs there was not paper or soap …so sad

There should be no mold in the shower. And the toilet waste in the middle of the room, right in the bedroom of room 161, is the sad story of this room.

It is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect place. The staff is perfect, kind and welcoming. The hotel is a beautiful building, a beautiful reception and bar and an incredible number of rooms. It is ideally located in the historic part of Visby. The breakfasts are excellent and tasty.

Breakfast could be better quality wise. Medieval festival week stay price is insane. Not to the hotel but to town public transport: Despite airport is just 4 km off the town walls, Be prepared that first bus to/from airport is late in the morning. Check the schedule. The town is very short of taxi. So, you are on your own getting to/from airport.

We've got early checkin. Room was exactly what we've asked (top floor sea view bath tub). Good quality wifi but not encrypted. Sound isolation excellent. room climate exellent. Front desk person drove us to airport with Visby town short of taxi, which is exceptional service.

Safe was locked but no one came to fix it even though I raised it to the staff already. Bathroom door was broken.

The carpets in the halls, on the steps, etc are really in bad shape. They need to be replaced, not only are they really worn but they are stained.

One day cleaning was skipped. I had to go to reception to say as much and ask for more toilet paper. The latter item wasn't brought to my room, so I had to ration.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms and prime position. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of choice. Shout out to the excellent member of staff who warned me that the suitcase my airline had delayed was finally delivered for me at the hotel. She made sure to inform me as soon as possible.

Room rather small, no desk, noisy AC/ventilation. Endless corridors and non-intuitive layout of the floors. Some parts of the hotel (carpeting) looked rather tired and worn.

Our room, 456, had no dresser, no drawers anywhere to keep clothes. We had to pile our clothes around the room so it was always a mess.

Cleaning standards. Lack of details to make the stay more pleasant.

I seems staff was not very professional or used to the hotel. Some facilities looked old or not up to Clarion standards. The cleaning routine was really bad, rooms were not tidy, not even replaced the used glasses. Breakfast ok but no details or any charm on it, also no coffee options just “conference” coffee. Spa in the other hand was excellent and very helpful staff. All in all, I was expecting more for the money.

asked for a big bed and they were 2 single beds put together, but they would move apart easily during the night cause they were very light weight beds. Too soft mattress for my taste. The spa was very nice, but sauna and changing rooms need more attention between guests cause they weren’t cleaned and there was a lot of oil on the sauna seats and hairs in the showers. The fireplace wasn’t on, which could have been a plus for a cozy autumn vibe.

it was a very nice stay in general. the hotel was super cozy and looks very authentic. Very good breakfast with a great variety of items. The staff was super sweet and helpful. Location is great, easy and fast to get by foot from the boat. very central and close yo everything. the room was silent clean and had a great view.
