My room was too small and narrow.

This establishment is a very convenient location, a few minutes walk from the Central Station in Halmstad. The breakfast is very elaborate and sumptuous. The staff is cooperative and friendly. The lounges are extremely comfortable, homely and with a very friendly and welcoming vibe to it. There is always a coffee pot on the boil with ginger cookies at hand. No charges. I will always like to come back to the Continental.

In a single room bed was uncomfortable and old. Bathroom was also so so, wouldn't receive a mid grade ar all.

TV in the room was the smallest I ever saw and not much use. It couldn't handle casting either so it was impossible to view anything interesting. The IR sauna was dysfunctional so there is basically one useful 4-person sauna. Not sufficient for a spa hotell. It was not possible to book the type of beds (double or 2x single) in the room until check-in so it's hit and miss if the type you want is available. Very strange indeed.

Breakfast was very good (rich assortment). Some ginger juice and it would have been perfect. The building is old and the ceilings very high (4m). Wooden floors. Windows looked new but they were leaking cold air like crazy. Had to tape them up to get the temperature normalized in the room. The spa was basically 2 small pools of 38.5 degrees water, some cozy rooms and two small saunas. The small gym was clean and airy. However, no heavy weights or machines. Just light dumbbells up to 20 kg, some benches, 2 bikes and 2 treadmills. Plenty of parking places around the hotel.

List over facitilities on the hotel would be preferable. Also the beds were 2 single beds put together. It would have been good to have one big madras instead.

Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of food. Only fresh orange juice and waffles were missing. Very serviceminded staff were also appreciated.

The bathroom particularly the shower facilities were not quite up to the standard suggested by the rest of the hotel. The room was clearly in need of a good dusting job since the window sills and the plant leaves had films of dust.

They were not able to fill out the invoice correctly in 1 month no matter if I called and wrote a lot of times. I always got the answer "tomorrow"

The host that checked me in didn't inform me about the Spa services, spa hours. Beware that this is the core of the town so you will get some street noise during the night. Hotel would definitely benefit from an upgrade.

Nothing I can remember.

Very old charming building and an excellent reception from Alex. The beds were very comfortable and bathroom large and good quality. Breakfast had everything you can wish for. Also, very quiet rooms and good lightning. Free parking close by.
