the color of the walls, black all over, makes it very dark and feels kind of "heavy". we missed access to a cup of free coffee on arrival

But wine expensive in the wine bar.

The vin bar is great - lovely food. And request porridge at breakfast - delicious and excellent to set you up for a day’s skiing.

Breakfast was somewhat poor with lack of diversity (no cut fruits, same bacon and eggs both mornings). It is only the beginning of the season though, hopefully, they will diversify as the season advances!

Location was perfect, right in the middle of town. The hotel in itself is beautifully decorated and kept all the old charm from its early days. The room was small but very comfortable. The only downside was the noise from the street, we would recommend getting a room at the back even if you don't get the view of the mountain. The VinBar restaurant/wine bar was absolutely excellent. They have a great selection of wines and the small plates allow for sharing and discovering dishes. The food was also delicious. The place is always packed, reservations are a must.

No reception after 21. Not very child friendly. Spa facilities were under renovation at the time of our stay. Breakfast was quite basic.

Has a good atmosphere. Looks very good. Clean and comfortable. The check-in went very well even though we checked in late at night.

Excellent breakfast, rooms and building with character and kindness enough to let us shower there several days after checking out on return from our hiking. Spa on site with sauna and pleasant areas to sit and read inside or enjoy the sun outside.

We left our room a bit late after our first night there (around 11am, due to jet lag traveling from the USA). We put the "please clean our room" sign out but our room was not refreshed that day. It seems like 11am should not be too late for the cleaning staff to make up a room. :(
