They tried to take full price for a pet room while using the oldest part of the hotel. Overpriced and run down. 1980's interior and smelled awful. They did put me into another area which was remodelled and cleand and fresh but even the toilet was black in the bottom. Old toilet system. They are also building all around the property and parking is terrible, the roads are dusty and gravel.

The bed was very comfortable, room was spacious

The room's decor was old with aged furnishings and only a bath tub (no modern shower space) in the en suite bathroom. Also, the bed was very soft which is something I particularly dislike. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with the hotel, just that it didn't really meet my tastes I prefer new, fresh and modern.

At first time we received a very small room, without the specifications that were set out in our booking. The room smelled terrible, i think the canal smell was coming from the bathroom. Lickily following our complaint the staff changed the room.

The breakfast was included. The staff gave us a different room. The online check in and check out application is very useful.

The room was spacious but old. Asked for parking at reception; they replied that parking on the street was fine however you needed to get a ticket at 8 a.m. ! Later I found out that there was a parking garage available. When I tried to check out the receptionist was chatting with other collegues and was in no hurry to end the conversation to help the customers waiting. So service could be better

Filthy floors and sofas/chairs. There was supposed to be a restaurant but no restaurant either. We wanted to leave as we walked in but as it was pre-booked we would have had to pay anyway. Nothing was according to the ad. Most of the breakfast servings were appalling, e.g. vegetables that should have been thrown away a week ago. Staff wasn't really helpful and as they told us they had no parking they managed to take the parking fee from us anyway. Around 20 euros for one night! We went back to correct it, no apologies or anything. Utterly disappointed and definitely not value for the money. Worst hotel experience for a very, very long time. Will not use First Hotel chain ever again. All and all just Basil was missing and it would have been a perfect Fawlty Towers. Oh, and to top it all up we were told that if we would have been walk-ins, we would have saved ten euros on room prices.

Coffee machine and bread at breakfast.

The hotel needs an upgrade, especially for that price. They also charged us extra for our dog which they had not informed us of beforehand.

Can be really noisy. We were woken up by a show plough scraping the ice off the road at 5am. The noise was unbelievable. Took the guy 1hr to leave the street, at that point we were all awake and not rested. Asked about the noise we were told its better 5am than 2am 😏 Hotel could do with an update.

Property located in City Centre. Parking can be difficult if you bring larger vehicle/or a trailer, but there is underground parking. Good choice of foods at breakfast. Sauna in the room. Lovely Italian restaurant across the road, but expensive but worth it.

The room was tiny and old fashioned. Hard to move in the shower and bathroom, the window badly insulated. For the pricing you would definitely expect higher standard of the room. The breakfast was ok but nothing special.

In the room we stayed, all water comes out of the shower under the glass door so the half of the bathroom's floor gets flooded. At certain times, the breakfast gets too crowded and the tables are not cleaned or tidied fast enough and some basics are missing as the cutlery, mugs, etc.

We stayed in a superior room and were told that the bed would be of higher quality. However the bed was two singles put together with a mattress on top, the mattress still did not make it comfortable to lie in the middle of the bed, so cuddling your partner while you sleep is impossible if you are of normal weight. Water ran out over the entire bathroom floor when we used the shower, no water rake meant that we had to put on shoes to not get our trousers wet when getting ready. No air conditioner, the room got hot very early in the day. No parking available (full) and no good parking nearby either, but we arrived late at night.

Competitive price even though we booked with short notice. Nice breakfast buffet.

Our first room was a total disaster - it was not worth two stars! Have a look at room no 517 and close it down! It is an insult to guests to give the guests such a room on a 4-stars hotell. The next one was a room for disabled persons, ok. The breakfast room was so dirty and unfresh. Take a look under the disks were the food was served on a sunny morning.

The walls are made of spit and tissue. If you are unlucky enough to have other Swedish guests staying in your corridor expect them to talk loudly outside your door and slam their room doors at all hours of the day and night. Tough getting a good nights sleep here. Parking is pretty much on street as the small car park opposite was full when we arrived at 2125hrs. The hotel restaurant shuts at 2130 so no chance of a meal of you arrive late. Should really be rated three stars not four.
