It was disappointing that the hotel didn't have any air-conditioning going in the (admittedly unseasonal) hot May weather. Our room had a fan but I still had to have a wet towel on my head to get to sleep even with the windows open. (I felt sorry for the cleaning staff working in those conditions). The breakfast also started and finished early because "The tourist season doesn't start until the middle of June".

We were lucky enough to be upgraded and the room had a balcony. The decor was lovely and the bed was very comfortable, and it was great to get a bathmat! The TV had English channels which was very welcome and the free tea and coffee was appreciated

    - The bathroom of our hotel room was absolutely revolting. It was pretty obvious that no renovation whatsoever has been done in the bathroom since this place was turned into a "hotel" from some sort of a hospital. The bathroom had an absolutely revolting, disgusting "hospital-like" smell mixed with the smell of old urine. In addition to the fact that the bathroom is actually an old hospital toilet, there was visible dirt and dust on the floor. The bathroom was NOTHING like the pictures shown on the booking.com site of this hotel - extremely misleading. Had we known that the bathroom was as disgusting as it was, we would have never ever chosen this hotel. You have been warned! - The room was in general very cheap and bad looking. You don't get any sort of hotel feeling, and it's hard to believe this is a three-star hotel. - There was nothing fresh or self-made at breakfast. Only store-bought bread, cereal, yoghurt and so on. I would call this breakfast pretty poor, but not the worst possible kind. - The staff did not seem very friendly or welcoming - some of the staff couldn't even be bothered to greet the guests.

    - The bed in the room was comfortable. - It was nice that there were some toys to keep kids entertained in the cafeteria.

We know the hotel since 10 jears. I am sorry to say, that now there is a need for a refreshing. Nothing had been done the last jears. So everything is a bit old and worn out. Just the price rised to a new standard.

The rooms could have been cleaner. It was a bit dusty in the corners and there was a tiny balcony that had not been cleaned for a while.

Comfy beds, nice staff. The breakfast was decent, nothing special but pleasant. Location is not really close to anything note-worthy but just a short drive from the town and tourist attractions.

Very friendly hotel with welcoming hosts who will collect from train station. Spacious rooms with the most comfortable beds that we found in Sweden. Typical Swedish buffet breakfast. 10-minute stroll, on little woodland path then along lakeside, to small beach for swimming in Lake Vanern; nearby museum café does evening meals.

No Restaurants available near the Hotel, so I must take the car for dinner. Breakfast is not so exciting as described. The room and bath are quite small.

Quite a distance into city center. No restaurant so have to plan other meals than breakfast to leave hotel. Staff not always available and front desk completely closed at night.

pleasant small hotel in quiet section away from city center. Breakfast was ok. Very reasonable room rate.

Breakfast was quite simple. No coffee facilities in the room, but could get coffee/tea for a small fee in the dining room.

Friendly staff. Room and bathroom very clean. Nice and quiet location, only 2 km to the centre of Kristinehamn.

I think there should have been a restaurant so you could eat in the hotel in the evenings. Most places nearby were closed at 10pm and some nights we were late getting in and had to travel a distance to get anything to eat. Hot breakfast would of been nice also !

The hotel was nice and quiet and staff helpful
