Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCOCKROACHES! Multiple in our room day after day! Day we arrived the lift was not working, the staff did not inform us of this, and also did not point us in the direction of our room when handing the keys over. We had to walk our bags up 6 flights of stairs outside the back of the venue! The staff were seen multiple times just sitting on their phones and generally were unattentive. Black mould and dampness in the room as you can not open any windows, as well as huge amounts of dust behind the TV - not very clean at all.
Incredible value for money - however you get what you pay for! Great location and has really good resturants, coffee shops and seven eleven nearby, within walking distance! Good water pressure on the shower.

NigeriaI realized after checking in that this was a budget hotel, thus the rooms were very small. I could barely move around in the room, but like i said, it's a budget hotel, so dont expect any roomy spaces.
Service: The staff was very responsive and helpful, apart from the tall indian concierge, everyone else was super sweet and super nice. I had only US dollars when i checked in. The clerk helped me change to singpore dollars to pay the airport taxi on the condition that i replaced the singapore dollars and retrieved my dollars the next day. The indian gentleman could have tried explaining better when i returned from my conference at night the next day instead of being all snarky and confrontational about the 24 hour deadline to return the singapore dollars, which i did at almost 11pm after going to find a foreign exchange dealer in Little india. The lady assisted with getting a taxi during the rain when i need to return to the airport, as well as helping with directions on where to go for my tour day, places to eat and shopping. Location: was great and it was easy to navigate to places. I was on the fifth floor and the view overlooked the Selegie house court, it wasnt a bad view at all. Room: The AC, TV and water worked very well. There was tea and coffee as well as a hair dryer. The room and bathroom was very clean as well as the beddings and towels. The bed felt nice, not too soft or too hard. Overall, good stay!

GermanyThe air conditioner couldn’t be managed individually, so it was really cold in the room, even after talking with the hotel-desk, they did nothing about it…

Russiasoo small room, the room is very cold (the air conditioner can only be controlled by the reception desk, each time they called and asked that they make it worse) and there is not even a small wardrobe, there is a window in the room, but the handles were removed, it does not open.
You could leave your luggage at the hotel after check out.

BangladeshReceptionist behavior is very bad. And a very small room with two people's accommodation. And serve one coffee for two people. No soap. And for different charges the first two nights 179 SG$ and the 2nd two nights charged 220SG$. Why is this discrepancy in such a nice county??????
Location is very good for us 👍👍

CanadaI would suggest the room (and bathroom) to have at least some hangers and eventually some shelves around the bed, as there's literally not too much room where to place your stuff, your luggage or to hang your clothes
Location is excellent, one block from Little India neighborhood, the Tekka hawker center and Little India metro station. The room is minuscule but we knew that when we booked and the price we paid justified it. Proximity to the Tekka food court was awesome, had breakfast there every morning (prata!!) as well as most of dinners. Little India is one of the four ethnic neighborhoods in Singapore a nice place to spend 1-2 hours to visit and enjoy.
