The room is clean, and we are happy with bathroom kits provided by the hotel. Yet, the room is very small vs the price if we compare to other countries. But, we all know the space is very expensive in Singapore.

The room was a bit small - but it did not bother us at all, as we only stayed two nights. The bathroom could use some renovation soon.

The location is superb - right in the middle of Chinatown, a couple of minutes from the Chinatown MRT station. There a plenty of places to eat within walking distance (Maxwell Centre, various restaurants in Chinatown), it is very close to Buddha Tooth Temple. Noise was not an issue, unlike I read in other reviews. The room had everything you need, including a kettle and tea and a very small desk. I would stay there again.

Well-located hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. We paid for a better room and it was worth it as the room didn’t cost much more and was very nice. The hotel is an imaginative reworking of an old building. It’s on the third floor with a reasonable restaurant below. There’s a very serious place to eat durian next door (and who knew there were so many kinds?), so you sometimes walk through a wall of fumes on the way in, but it thankfully doesn’t reach the hotel (and like elsewhere they are mercifully banned in the hotel itself).

The street noise was rather loud at times with minimal sound proofing. Starting at about 10am there were street shows and they finished up at about 9pm.

Great location, very easy access to nearby hawker centres and not far from Boat Quay and Gardens by the Bay. PowerPoints were international so didn't require converters.

There was a bit of trouble with the drain one time where the water was not going down so we had to open up the drain lid to get the water out. It was fixed by the next morning we requested for a room cleaning.

This was the second time we stayed here, and both times were very good. To note, I stayed with two family members and we booked a triple room for a 5-night stay. This had a queen-sized futon and a single-sized futon which was clean and comfortable for sleeping but not enough floor space for large pieces of luggage. The room itself was well lit and nicely ventilated, which was great during March. The bathroom was enclosed in atomized glass, which you can control using a switch in the entrance aisle for privacy. There is no bidet for the toilet, but paper towels were available. The shower was decent-- it can only heat up a certain amount of water at a time so if you're the type to take long showers (>15 mins), you may run out of hot water. They also provide a set of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel dispensers. The room also includes an overhead projector (which we never figured out how to use Screencast or the internet browser on, so we just watched whatever was on the available channels) and a small drink fridge. One more thing that was nice is that they gave free bottled water each time the room was cleaned. We were also allowed to borrow umbrellas from the lounge as needed. The location of the hotel is fantastic since it's a few meters away from Chinatown station (NE4|DT19) and a few minutes away from Maxwell station (TE18). It's within walking distance of the Chinatown Complex Food Centre and the Maxwell Food Centre, both of which have amazing food and drink selections. I recommend having the fresh iced soy milk drink! There's plenty of great souvenir shops lining the streets around the hotel so you can get some quick shopping done. There's two 7-11's within 5 minutes of each other in the area as well. The hotel is only accessible via an elevator from the ground floor.

There was not really much space if you had luggage. It wasn’t dirty but it was rundown so didn’t look super clean.

If you’re looking for an affordable and well located hotel in Singapore you could not do better than this hotel. It’s well situated in Chinatown which is so cool and funky for much cheaper than anything in Singapore.

I received a big Genius discount which made this accommodation worth it, but otherwise, I would have felt dissatisfied. Whole place smelled like durian + backend of a restaurant.

It was really noisy. There were birds chirping and music playing from the street below until about 1am. It was also a bit of a stinky area but the hotel itself was fine.

Cheap and cheerful. Bed was huge and enough space for 2 people for one night. Staff were friendly and allowed us to store bags until our flight later that day.

Nice location in China Town. Good instructions on how to get to the hotel. One person working in the lobby was quite formal; the other very kind and helpful. The family room had a nice bathtub and big screen if you are into that!

The room design is ideally. The bathroom is clean and comfortable and furniture is very flexible and new.
