Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Hong KongThe size of the bathroom could have been bigger for comfort. Its alright for a single person. Walls a little thin and need to be conscious of that.
There weren't any breakfast, it was done sometime ago i was told. The place is nice and private despite being in a busy and convenient location. The room was quiet and comfortable. Rooms are well cleaned and maintained. Easy to walk out to the local area.

CanadaNot being notified that the taxi driver was about to take off. It's a local rule that they can if they've waited 8(?) minutes. I asked the night reception to call another taxi but he was not pleased about that. So I turned right outside the hotel dragging my suitcase, walked the opposite way from my usual path and for the first time found an entrance to Rochor station only 50 m away compared with much longer contorted routes when I'd turned left outside the hotel. I boarded the first train to arrive which was heading for my destination, Changi airport. But I realised after 2 stops the route was much longer than another line and I was pretty sure I would not make my flight. Taking a gamble I alighted at Downtown station and went outside above ground which at 6.15 a.m. was deserted. A parked taxi driver told me to wait for an available cab then took off. After about 5 minutes a green-lit taxi appeared and got me to Changi Terminal 1 in good time. His eyes lit up and he hugged me when I tipped extravagantly. The flight was the first of many, and If I'd missed it all the rest of the dominoes would have fallen. So my comment is that while Perak Hotel reception personnel were polite they could have been more informative about local taxi protocols, and the shortest way to the MRT system. There is a great deal of tunneling and construction in the area that cause pedestrian detours
I appreciated the low-key vibe, and restful quietness. My room was on the ground floor, first room past the entrance to the hallway from the bar/lounge which were inactive. At no time was I disturbed by noise from people, doors banging, loud talking. Reception had a neat, efficient security process in which a guest left his door key with the person at reception in exchange for a small card with a map of the area. On return the card was exchanged for the key by the person at reception. Simples. An entrance to Rochor SMRT station was about 50 m from the hotel front door, though paradoxically I discovered it only on my departure from the hotel after my reserved taxi had taken off, and I was under major time pressure.

JapanNone. All are well.
Facility’s old, minimum amenities, but room is clean, hot water available round the clock and the staff are very kind and attentive. And the location is superb in Little India. That’s enough for a budget-minded traveler like me :-)

BangladeshI loved the helpful attitude of the staff and the interior of the hotel, especially the wooden hangings and the sunroofs, one even in my room. There were no USB ports or coffee though. Also no handwash in the washrooms. But seems this is normal in Malaysia and Singapore.

ChinaThe room is very basic, only one outlet which was not convenient. This issue was resolved after I talked with them about it.
The staff was extremely accommodating. The room unfortunately only had one available outlet, and the staff lent me a power strip so I could plug in all my electronics. In addition, I required strong wifi for my business calls and the staff provided me with a personal wifi router in the room to ensure my connection was strong.
