How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We like their plant forest and swimming pool. Kids loved it and their breakfast has a big variety.

Restaurants are fairly expensive.

If anything, the room we had was a bit small, but it wasn't a problem for our stay. The location is a bit far from the center, but the walk to the center is quite pleasant.
We liked the facilities and the breakfast at The Line restaurant. The swimming pool and the family friendly hotel in general.

Love the buds program for kids and the excellent service in general. Nothing felt too difficult for the staff. And having a washing machine and dryer on the family floor!

We took the junior suite since it has more room for my family of 5. The staff told us that this was a special exception (only max of 4 pax allowed in the room) and if we come back the following year we would need two rooms since we are a family of 5. But it wouldn't make sense to be separated on a family staycation and my children are still very young. We did not even request for any additional beds and were fine to make do with the existing bed arrangement. I think the information could be delivered in a more sensitive way that makes sense for a family with young children.
Got a very good deal for the junior suite which came with lounge access where we enjoyed very nice drinks and canapes in the evening for adults only on weekdays.

Not enough lounge chairs by the pool.

Breakfast has many selections but taste is average . Morning pastries could be better in terms of quality and freshness. During 4 days most of food was the same. 1 towel is provided per person taking in consideration that room was rented for 2 people. Only one set of shampoo and body wash for 2 people to share .
Smell of lobby Beds were comfortable Breakfast had many varieties. Complimentary cake for my bday

The location was away from the hustle and bustle, some may like it. Challenge for those that want cheap meals or snacks as there's nothing around it.
The facilities are great, kids loved the pool and slide area. Great for toddlers as they have a medicated play area. My kids were too big for this

The attitude of reception staff on my arrival was not very friendly but rest was very pleasant.

5 star service and facility. Brilliant for travel with my family. Children considered at every turn in the hotel. Small steps for the bathroom sink, kids gift bag on arrival, moulded plastic cutlery in all the restaurants, very safe and large hotel rooms.

It would have been nice if the hotel was a bit closer to the main part of town by the bay. But there's not much that they can do about that! In the end we didn't even leave the hotel, our kids were too happy playing in the water :-)
The hotel was super kid-friendly. Even while we were waiting to check in, someone came and gave our kids an activity pack. We had free access to the kids club and to the water park. There was even a special kids-only room at the breakfast buffet with everything at a low height. We were in Singapore for a 24-hour layover: we arrived in the evening and left the following evening. It wasn't possible to get late checkout, but it turns out that we didn't need it, because the hotel was happy to let us use the facilities all day (including the kids club, swimming pool and kids water park) and have a shower at the hotel gym before we left for the airport.
