Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

.Shower over bath awkward and glass panel not enough to stop spray onto
Great location for walking to train station and river. Bed super soft and comfortable with 5 star linen and pillows. Breakfast had everything you could want.

A bit too expensive for an old and unrenovated hotel

The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived and suggested an activity at the evening market which was great. All staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel is also very close to all the sites and Preseren Square. The breakfast was also great - lots of choice.

There were no black out blinds in the bedrooms and the rooms were quite warm despite turning on the air conditioner which didn’t seem to function properly.
The location was wonderful, the breakfast was very tasty and the staff extremely helpful

Our has not fully closing window and the bath was quite unuseful, because water trying to go out every time and in every position.
Looks like the ground and zero floors of this hotel was renovated, because they look really nice, but I can not say same about rooms, it quite old and outdated already. Breakfast was absolutely fantastical.

You can get a wrong impression when you see that ground floor (restaurant and reception) are totally renewed and modern comparing to rooms and corridors. The rooms are slightly outdated but nothing that affected our stay by any means, but still it should be considered as it is rated as 4 star hotel.
Let's start with the location. The location is in the most central part of Ljubljana, right in bustling street, opposite of National Bank of Slovenia, famous stores like Zara, Mango, small shopping mall ''NAMA'', restaurants and etc. Absolutely convenient. At the ground floor of the hotel there is lounge bar Zvezda which immediately became our favorite spot for drinking coffee and having a delicious dessert. The reception is looking really modern and stylish and you can also store your luggage with a tag number which was super convenient for us. I can say with full confidence that Slon offers one of the best breakfasts in the hotel that I have ever experienced. Large variety of savory and sweet options which are constantly replenished by the staff.

I returned to Slon after ten years with joy in my heart. I was greeted by a cold receptionist who insisted I pay in advance. first time this happened to me in my life.

Ac didn’t work as is on the Main Street we had to open the window which was very noisy outside

I asked if I could have breakfast served to my room and the evening staff just didn't know, but said not unless there was an ordering card in my room. I only later found out that I just had to ring an internal no. The mattress was uncomfortable.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was really nice, the bathroom was great. The location is at the heart of the city, and the price was really good, too.
