Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

This room is very small and it is only suitable for one person. Because there is not even space for clothes. There are few hangers.
I had exactly this room, which is in the photo. Everything is great, the bed is comfortable, clean. There is a bar on the window for drying swimsuits and towels. There is a refrigerator in the room.

Bed was quite uncomfortable, I hate the pillow.

The only thing was the curtains were a little transparent so it meant the light came through early morning and also did not have fully privacy from the neighbour opposite.
Marko was very helpful - especially when I got delayed trying to find parking and he waited to check me in. The room was spacious, comfortable with everything needed including a mini fridge which was unexpected. The bathroom was clean and everything functioning.

The room is on the first floor and only had a small window directly to the street, which meant if you wanted privacy you had to keep it closed the whole time. Also the room didn't get any light from outside so it was very dark and cold. There is no shampoo or soap provided and even the hand soap in the bathroom was pure water, so we had to use the dish soap from the kitchen. There was a nice TV set up but it didn't work.
The location was very nice, the staff was very friendly, there was AC/heater and the shower was quite nice.

The bed was rather uncomfortable for us (too soft).
Nice hostel in a very central location, close to the bus station, nice bakeries/restaurants and the sea. The staff was very polite and check-in went smoothly. The double room was small, clean and well-equiped.

The location is amazing, very close to everything. The room was fine, the bathroom was shared, but there were two bathrooms in the hostel, so it was not an issue. Everything was very clean.

Effectively no wardrobe - not a problem for a short stay. If the other guets are noisy, you hear a lot inside.
Great location in the center of Piran. Good bed and mattress. Bathroom fully functional. (Washing machine which I did not need, and a kitchenette with table. Not used either)

The double beds were a bit too soft and I wish they provided shower gel.
Clean and quiet room. The location was excellent -within walking distance of the ocean, tourist attractions, and restaurants.

One of 2 rooms was OK but in the other one air conditioning was not working properly (very loud and smells bad).Bed was not very comfortable and towels was not smelling nice.
The location was perfect. Good contract with the owner.Fridge in the room.2 rooms for one bathroom what for the hostel is very good.very good value for money .

The apartment is pretty small, a bit dark and one has to keep an eye out for humidity but still it's enjoyable.

If you are coming by car to Piran you can only drive in to the town for 30 minutes to drop off luggage then you must find parking just outside town which can be expensive It would pay to do a bit of research before you come it might be better to find parking a bit further away and then bus in

The wifi wasn't great thought the host, get the issue fixed and inform us.
The host was very helpful, provide lots for information about the town the location was very good near to city center thought Piran small town.

Perfect location right near the bus station and seafront and rataurants and beaches. Two rooms per bathroom with another on the floor below if you needed it. Great aircon. Stay here!
