although the hotel maintains a high standard, it seemed to me that the breakfast offer/range was not quite at such a great level as we were used to in the past. Unfortunately the outside pool was not available for this time of period , although we would appreciate it on sunny days

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel but overall we felt that the services of the hotel are overpriced. For instance a small beer at the bar costs EUR 7 (in Slovenia!). Also, the a la carte dinner menu is super expensive. For instance a hamburger costs almost EUR 40, while at a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant lierally next door, you can buy the same very nice meal for EUR 12. It is a side note but the variety of the breakfast selection can also be improved. We stayed for six days, but found the exact same food offers every morning. It is also ridiculous, that you have pay extra EUR 3,85 for eggs benedict.

The beautiful hotel itself is a historical buliding which is kind of a simbol of Portoroz. It is located in the heart of the city, very close to the beach. All staff members are kind. If you stay there in the first part of the week, it is super pleasent, however, if you stay for the weekend too, you will feel it crovded (around the pool area, during breakfast, etc.).

We had small issue about heating in our room. It was a little bit cold and the aircondition wasn’t heating. Great staff taken efforts to solve but it doesn’t work again.

Parking fee (outside park) is 20 euro per day. If you need to charge the car you need to add 15 euro (quite expensive).

Amazing experience. The staff is very nice, friendly and always willing to help you at best. I went there with a Tesla and the hotel was equipped with a charging station. Lovely and relaxing experience.

Reception team, consierge, bellboys, maids, pool staff, staff at breakfast, bar and Sofia restaurant - everybody was very helpful, friendly, polite and attentive. Many thanks to Maria from reception, Alina and Nikolina from the breakfast and everybody from the pool staff. The rooms were extremly comfortable - with nice and cosy furniture and great view from the balconies. Cuisine at the restaurant “Sofia” was incredible - one of the brightest gastronomic expiriences we had in years. We loved to spend time near the pool - thanks to location in a quiet and picturesque area and attentiveness of the beach staff. The building of the hotel is magnificent and very beautiful.

Due to problems with my car, I had to cancel my stay. The hotel was very accommodating and helpful, and I was very thankful.

Marble tiles near the pool were slippy and weren't cleared of water often enough. 'Club Bar' was stiff, formal and wasn't a place to socialise in. Wine that was available by the glass from room service wasn't offered on the bar menu, so we had to ask for it as a special service. Seems to be set up only to serve the small number of people that the balconies can accommodate.

Breakfast had a wide variety of foods to choose from and was served on a pleasant terrace. Room was very comfortable and the chambermaid service was efficient and thorough. Nice pool, set up with lots of loungers and shade from the sun. Airport transfer for a late-night flight was comfortable and friendly.

Kempinski Portoroz is a true 5 star hotel! From the employees at the reception, the staff at the pool and the restaurants, all the way to the housekeeping and laundry team! We would like to give special mention to few members of staff - Adrian working at the reception who assisted us in every possible and extremely efficient way (assisting us with retrieving a lost jumper from another hotel, made sure we got the best taxi price deal etc). Also Julia, serving coffee/tea at breakfast has shown incredible professionalism. We hope to be back soon!

We had a great time at Kempinski. The hotel is beautiful, the buffet breakfast is open until noon, which is a nice touch. The pool and the beach are great, the bar and the restaurant is also superb, the overall experience is real 5 star.
