How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

It was the perfect base for our family adventures, with easy access to several beautiful day trip destinations - Visegrad, Esztergom, Gyor and Veszsprem Zoo. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, air-conditioned and very comfortable — ideal for relaxing after a full day of exploring. It had everything we needed for traveling with a toddler, including a safe and cozy space to unwind. The host was welcoming and helpful, offering great local tips. Verified reviewThe property was pretty clean and it is located close to the center of Komarno and also to the Hungarian side.
The communication was a bit tiresome: we fixed the time of arrival but after it still got messages again and again about to I should tell time of arrival. I got the first message in Slovakian, answered in English, the next message was in Hungarian, I replied in Hungarian and the 3rd message was in Slovakian again - a bit confusing. I didn't really understand what was the problem. Minor inconvenience: we got only 2 very small bottle of shower gel for 3 night, 2 people. The owner made it clear that he won't be at the property until our staying, so it won't be refilled. We asked for more, received it almost immediately, so problem was solved, but I think it should be a minimum to provide the necessery amount of toiletries. No soap was provided. The towels were extremely small, not for full body-size. No cleaning service till we were there. Only one tiny window, not fully openable, so we didn't have the chance to get some fresh air. No AC, so personally I do not recommend it in summertime.

Your reservation was for a "BUDGET" room, which is a cheap room with limited services. A7 Apartments is private accommodation, which means that we do not have a permanent reception and services such as daily cleaning are beyond the scope of this price category. For greater comfort and extended services, we recommend our spacious comfortable - air-conditioned apartments that provide more equipment. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the lack of shower gel and small towels. Upon arrival, each guest receives basic information and has the opportunity to contact us at any time to replenish the necessary items. We are glad that we were able to quickly resolve your request for additional toiletries. Your feedback helps us improve, so we greatly appreciate it. We hope that despite these inconveniences, you enjoyed your stay in Komárno. If you decide to visit us again, we will be happy to provide you with an apartment that better suits your needs. As a group we had one apartment and one small room. The room's bathroom was very tiny with no storage space. The room was good with air conditioning.
For greater comfort, we recommend changing the economy room to a standard apartment.

Verified reviewFor some overnights this room was perfect. The building is in the city center though I heard no noise from the streets. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. The host is very kind. Entrance is through a garage gate even if you arrive on foot. Arrange your arrival in advance so the host can wait for you (there are no bells to ring).
If there are neighbours, you can hear every voice of them.
