How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Unfurtunatly the sky slope was overcrovded. The accommodation has no negatives.
The apartman was very clean and comfortable. Everything was perfect.

The charge for a dog is 10 eur / day. We only learned that on checkin.
The location is awesome. You can walk to both ski lift locations easily. It is a bit out of the central part of the Donovaly ski center which is nice and calm. However you can walk there in 10 minutes.

No elevator, so you need to carry luggage to upper floors
Nice apartment on the attic. Good also for a longer stay.

we were in the off season. There were no shops or restaurants open nearby (the hotel's restaurant was not working either)
The accommodation was very quiet. We booked it at the last moment, but they were very kind.

the only constructive criticism id have is that it was too hot in the apartment and we couldn’t turn the heating down ended up sleeping with open windows

internet connection was very bad.
the staff was very helpful, the ambiance of the hotel was very charming. there was everything in the room we needed. it is a very good point for skiing, hiking etc. there was 2 doors between the room and the corridor, which helped a silent, calm night.

There was no hairdryer, coffee machine, dishwasher in the room, only one key for the apartment in the building, we could not close the fridge door there was a bucket of stone we have to use to keep it closed

BEWARE, THERE IS NO HOT WATER AVAILABLE, SOME STAFF MEMBERS ARE RUDE AND AGRESSIVE !!! After our stay we realised that our apartment comes with limited hot water supply, probably because of a faulty water heating system. Hot water was only available for 2-3 minutes only when it ran out and only cold water was remaining. It took about an hour to get hot water again, but only for another 2-3 minutes. This information was not available in the description at the time we made our booking, we expected running hot water like with any normal facility in the region. I told the receptionist lady to check on the water heating system. She was quite rude and come to our apartment sticking to that our accomodation is just “studio” so this is quite normal.She opened the tap and started to run hot water which was available then because I wanted to show the staff that it doesn’t last longer than 2-3 minutes. She grabbed my arm at my wrist and forcefully wanted to pull it under the hot water! This was very aggressive behavior from her, and I didn’t want her to scorch my hand, I had to free my arm from her gasp! I’ve never experienced this behavior from hotel staff, or normal people before! She told me like I’m an idiot that we should mix in cold water and bath like that. I told her that’s great but still once the hot water becomes completely absent in 2-3 minutes ultimately we will only have freezing cold water after that, so my wife can’t wash her hair for example. She said this is normal in Austria, and Italy too, because she worked there as well. NO, it's not normal at all. Then she left. I’m very frustrated because of this experience caused during our vacation stay, the misleading lack of information about this condition on the booking page, the aggressive behavior from the staff, lack of support or willingness to do anything about the problem, and their effort to cover up the problem like it’s “normal” to not provide adequate hot water. Unacceptable.
The location is good for children because proximity of children's snow fun park

The directions provided are wrong though. Make sure you follow the address provided in the confirmation email signature not the one on booking.com The mattress is really not comfortable. Woke up with neck and back pain.
Pretty good location. Friendly staff. Rooms are ok. Coffee pods provided in rooms.
