Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceRoom 8 has a slight damp feeling, but was still very comfortable and we slept beautifully.
It was very comfortable and clean. The hotel was really beautiful inside and the staff was super helpful. They recommended a great dinner place nearby and it was fantastic.

FranceNothing really, the hotel has not much windows so It is a bit dark but it can not really be changed.
Room is quite spacious, and the bed was huge and very confortable. The hotel is perfectly located in the historical center, close to cafes and restaurants. The spa was real surprise. I thought it was included in the price but we had to pay 49€ extra. However it is completely privatised for you, perfectly clean. It was really worth this money.

United KingdomThe shower! The temperature of the water was either too hot or too cold, wouldn’t stay where it was set.
Great location in the old town. Very cute hotel, we stayed in a room where we could see the castle and the UFO if you looked out the windows. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and the potato cakes were definitely my favourite!

United KingdomThe only "window" was to the lobby / atrium which was very noisy and made the room very stuffy without air circulating. The chamber maid did not replenish the coffee and tea making facilities including milk.
The morning coffee was exceptional. Kristina on reception was amazing: so helpful, great smile, cheerful, fantastic. the location was excellent.

IsraelAll was satisfactory.
The location is superb, in the old city, walking distance to all attractions such as the Philarmonic Hall, the Danube, the Blue Church, the national theater and many more. The room was warm, spotless, very quite, large and nicely furnished. The loby is very special as the hotel us located within an old castle. The breakfast had many options, all very tasty, served in a special bolted hall. The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English.

United KingdomSpa/gym facilities weren’t explained that well when making the booking - we thought the gym was accessible as part of the booking and spa was extra (like massages etc). When checking in, it wasn’t mentioned, and reading the info in the room/hotel told us it was all an additional service. Didn’t particularly matter, but just something to be aware of if you are looking for a hotel with a gym.
Fantastic location in the centre of the Old Town. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel, and a particularly massive bathroom in our room! We’d booked the cheapest room, which didn’t have a window, but the room we had was much bigger and with a window, so can only assume we were upgraded, which was great. We had to get an early train the next day, so only had a quick breakfast but the selection was amazing and was the best of our whole trip for having alternatives for allergies and vegans. Staff were really helpful, and thought the hotel branded teabags in the room were a cute touch.

Israelcoffee was not very warm, even when they prepared especially for me in the kitchen. it was almost room temp. whereas I like very warm coffee. But overall breakfast was wonderful: fresh, tasty and varied.
I loved the room, beautiful and very very comfortable bed. the staff was fantastic - I don't recall the last time I had such good staff service: impeccable, generous, available and kind. b'c the massage was full booked, they referred me to a 5 minute walk thai massage place, and because I was not familiar with the area - they offered to accompanied me to the place and showed me where it was, even entering with me and making sure I was listed.

ItalyThe receptionist in the evening shift:. Not a smile, not a welcome, hard to get info an parking and on credit card guarantee policy. Letting us wait at the reception while the data of all the 3 of us were written down was also avoidable. The room had toilet smell. The shower leaking water, resulting in flooding the bathroom.
Not easy to give a feedback. The hotel architecture looks amazing, if I understood correctly it used to be a 5 stars. Also the room was awesome, ideal for a family having two different sleeping environments, one downstairs and the other one upstairs. Possibility of free late check out very appreciated, granted by the smiley receptionist in the morning shift. However, from such structure and such price, the basic things listed below shall be solved.
