Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Germany- Close to a big street, so it can be loud in the morning (but quiet enough at night). - Fridge makes some annoying noise. - Walkable from the train station, but the area around it is industrial area and doesn’t feel nice. - Not very close to the old town. - Reception staff was kind but doesn’t speak English. - Towels were not provided at first, but could be requested.
- Cheap and definitely worth the money. - Bathroom is nice, spacious, and has a window. - Very close to Big Tesco (open every day, even Sunday). - Cute giraffe bed sheets. - Room has two chairs. - Clean enough and acceptable (not like some comments suggested).

JapanThe room was spacious and had a private bathroom, but it wasn't exactly clean. It was hot, and there was no fan or window screens. It cooled down at night, so it wasn't a problem. The kitchen only had one working electric stove, the frying pan was large and dented, the old pots were missing lids, and there were only a few dishes, so you probably wouldn't rely on it for cooking. Still, it's not a bad place to stay for just one night.

New ZealandNot really anything bad to say about this place.
The location is really close to the train station and they let me store my bags after check-out. It is also quite close to the centre of the town and supermarkets. The staff were quite friendly and the room met my expectations.

NetherlandsThe noise from the outside road and train station was too disturbing even in the night as the old window frames were unfortunately not soundproof.
Bathroom was quite big and all the heaters were working properly so it was nice to take a shower there.

PortugalWifi signal didn't reach my room. I had to go inside the main building to be able to work on my laptop. Room was extremely hot even with the window open. A fan would have been helpful.
15 minute walk from the train station. Check in was easy and fast. Room was small but had everything I needed, including a mini fridge. Good pressure in the shower and clean bathroom. Bed was comfortable too.

PolandLocated close enough to the railway station, but in a spot not served (well enough) by public transport. The door of my room led directly onto the street, and the door is a cheap plastic one that doesn't close tightly -- in winter you might be screwed. There is no WiFi password in the room -- remember to look it up at the reception.
Both the fridge and the radiator work well. A private bathroom, which is quite rare in this price range.

United Kingdombit of noise from passing trains, nothing too bad, though (especially when you fall asleep)
Close to train station in Zilina, clean and fuss-free, apart from the usual Slovakian form-filling-chore (who you are, where from, Passport Numbers etc).

Slovakiagot a room with shared bathroom though I booked a room with my own bathroom (staff communicated this mistake very politely though and I agreed to the change) - the shared bathroom was...well, yeah, not very clean and I had to overcome some inner demons to take a shower :D I gained a new life experience but wouldn't repeat it
great value for money - the cleanliness in the room was ok - ok for 1-2 nights

Friendly accommodation for a small price. The direct neighborhood is not so nice, but it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to get to the bus station, railway station, and the city center.

United KingdomMost of this will be splitting hairs because its a cheap place to stay! Very basic, rooms didn't feel at all homely. Would have benefited from a cheap plate, bowl and cutlery considering there was a fridge. Curtains didn't shut much light out, and in fact barely covered the window and made the whole room glow orange. Basically on an the edge of a big industrial estate which means you're away from the centre and it doesn't feel the safest walking home after dark. Shower mount was a little strange (shower sprays pointing sideways). Basically don't stay here if you want to spend significant time in your room!
The price was ok, great location for the bus and train station for getting out to the Malá Fatra and also for shopping at the local Tesco. Easy enough to get to the river for running. Pleasant views of the hills across rail yard. Being next to the rail yard and factory was quite cool but not to everyone's taste. Having a room fridge was really good!
