Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The rooms are clean, restroom has space, and the shared kitchen is clean. We got a room with 2 beds. It had a TV, WiFi, A/C, fan. In the closet there was an iron and a hair dryer. It seems like there is surveillance on the property, for safety precaution. They also have a washer and dryer on property for an additional fee. There is no private parking however, the area is safe and you can park right in front of the building. It was a pleasant stay.

The room was fine, but noise from neighboring guests carried quite easily. It would be helpful if there were signs asking guests to keep quiet during certain hours and to avoid using the kitchen or washing machine late at night.
The hotel felt secure, with a keypad entry system. However, there are no staff on-site for extended periods, which at times was a bit inconvenient. Hot water and water pressure could have been better. On the plus side, the manager was responsive via WhatsApp. The location is great—just two blocks from the cathedral and main square, which has a lively atmosphere. It’s also set away from any main roads, so there’s less traffic noise. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Close to the Catedral, walking distance to the market. BEAUTIFUL DAY AND NIGHT. Melvin is very responsive.

It's not a big deal but if there was one bigger blanket it would have been better than individual short ones.

This is a little place with only 4 rooms, we didn't get to meet the owner but the cleaner was very friendly. The location really is excellent, it's close to everything. It has everything you need for 1-2 nights. We used the kitchen and the owner even helped us out with a tiny emergency we had, for which we are super grateful!

It was not possible to leave my bagpack in the house before check-in (respectively, only aprox. 2 hours before check-in. The same for check-out. The key pad to the main door had low batery and once I was not able to get inside. Luckily, it did not happen at night (you don't get any key to the main door)
Very good location, kitchen, easy check-in and check-out.

I booked a room without A/C, but that was my mistake, i didn't pay attention. However, the night wasn't that hot. It was only during the day that the A/C was missed.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, Melvin Munoz provided excellent customer service and was always available to answer any questions i had. It also has an equipped kitchen where i prepared my dinners and had my coffees in the morning before heading out

No signage of the name of the hotel makes it difficult to find if you arrive in darkness, but very easy during the day once you know where.
Excellent location. Fantastic owner. Comfortable room. Warm Showers. Good kitchen facilities.

Because it’s more private, you don’t really meet other people.
Clean, private. Nice kitchen. This is more an air bnb than a hostel. Quite nice if you want some privacy but still be in the busy area of SA. The cleaning lady who also took my payment is friendly.

Nothing. Everything was perfect.. I really though about it and nothing negative came to my mind
The accommodation is truly outstanding. Super super close to the cathedral, walking distance was less than 5 minutes and still so quiet. the owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, check-in is really easy, it’s safe, reeaaally clean, has everything you need in both the rooms and the kitchen. It was a very relaxing stay and totally recommended for everyone travelling in groups or families (my case). Maybe not the best for solo travellers but yeah, it’s more a hotel for a hostal price range. To sum up: maybe the best of all hostels I’ve been to on my long travel.

The fridge was up to high and some of the food ruined.
Great location near the main square. The host was super responsive. We used the kitchen and the washing machine. Its also the only hot water shower we had during our time in El Salvador.

The fact that there is no reception, you must have a working phone to talk to the owner, no turist information. The door code is activated only from 3 pm, check in time unless you ask the owner by calling him, he was extremely nice and opened the door at 11 am.
Very clean, great location, very comfortable bed, very nice owner and cleaner.

This is a not a dislike-! You get a code to enter through the main gate. For some, it might be impersonal.
Clean, quiet, excellent location. No check-in though. No real hostel-vibe, its like staying in someones’ private residence.
