We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom and AC — the AC was definitely necessary given how hot San Miguel is. The bathroom was a decent size, and the water pressure was just about acceptable, though there’s no hot water. The sink could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The pool table is barely usable, and the cues really need replacing. On the plus side, there’s a good-sized kitchen with plenty of equipment, and a water dispenser with both hot and cold water. Overall, the place is kept reasonably clean and tidy. However, because of the noise and my preference for being able to sleep in while on holiday, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Booked 1 night and ended up staying for 4! The room was comfortable with aircon, there was coffee available in the morning and the pool table was great. We did 3 day trips from Europa, even tho it’s a bit out of town it’s a very cheap Uber to the bus terminal ($2). Would definitely recommend!

Very helpful staff and the location was good for everything that we needed. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. Kitchen had everything you need and there's good WiFi all round. Pool table to play on and hammock space. Good information available and someone is always ready to help even by WhatsApp when we were out and about should you need it. All in all a good base to explore the area from.

Very nice hostel. Excellent customer service provided by Victor. Barbara, the owner, is very nice and a pleasure to converse with. Although she is Italian, she speaks an amazing Spanish. Hostel is bit away from Centro and the hot water was spotty but overall very nice. Good ac free coffee, billiards and drinking water. Excellent choice in San Miguel.

We stayed at the ground floor in a room with shared bathroom. The bathroom does not has a lot of privacy since it is next to the living room. Room is very minimalistic and misses an extra table, bed light and chair. Think the place can do better promoting trips around.

The place is a little rundown and could use some some TLC.

Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Spacious room with AC and a good bed. Well equipped kitchen. Secure gated parking 24/7. Laundry service. Chilled drinking water and good coffee available all day. Nice neighborhood with everything you need close by.

The location was by some busy roads. Not so easy to get to restaurants or a gas station for that matter.

The staff & their patience with me. 🙌🏼 They helped me book my shuttle & figure out the logistics of getting across the border. Javier even brought me to the bus station to catch the bus to get to immigration on time. (The bus was an early morning arrival at 6:30 am.) Plus his colleague helped me fill out all the necessarily forms the night before & made copies of my passport. It was a great reprieve with lots of hammocks to chill before the great departure. Grateful!!

The room was quite basic (though the bed was comfortable), and I forgot to check if towels were available before booking. There wasn't one provided in the room, though to be fair I also didn't ask at the front desk.

The location was very convenient on my long drive from Guatemala to Nicaragua. It was easy to find and close to restaurants and other services that are helpful on such a drive. There is also a kitchen available to guests who want to prepare their own meals, as well as coffee freely available at all times.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They let us park our motorcycles in their courtyard. We booked a private room and it was very big, plenty of room for all our gear. Room and bathroom clean Good breakfast in the morning (extra $2usd)

The hostel is quite simple, don't except anything fancy. It's also quite far from the bus station.

The owner is exception in his service. He helped us get to Nicaragua via boat and arranged all the administration, like printing copies of passports, etc. The rooms are also different European countries. Water cooler was nice because of fresh, cold water!

The way we were treated when we arrived. The girl on a Saturday evening looked at us with angry eyes and told me off for only booking for one person. When I produced my bookings booking on the phone we received no apology and she became more rude. It felt like being two naughty kids in the principals office while she took ages to look at my passport. This staff member should not be in hospitality.

10/10! Can’t recommend the Hotel Europa staff enough! I had an unexpected problem bringing my drone into Nicaragua while travelling, so therefore had to DHL ship it to forward to Hotel Europa. I spoke to the staff via WhatsApp and they were super accommodating and responded fast. We finally arrived to San Miguel after a long journey from Leon and it was the perfect place to recover. Big spaces, chilled atmosphere, comfy beds, air-conditioning, etc.
