United StatesAn Unforgettable Act of Kindness – Thank You, Belair Beach Hotel I recently had an unexpected and very emotional experience while on a cruise that had to be cut short due to a medical emergency involving my sister. She became seriously ill and required emergency surgery in St. Maarten. I was not able to stay with her in the hospital and had to find accommodations quickly. I cannot express enough gratitude to the staff at Belair Beach Hotel, especially Khatija and Catherine, for their incredible kindness, compassion, and support during those difficult two days. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel cared for and safe during what was one of the most stressful times of my life. Their understanding and warmth went far beyond what I ever expected from a hotel staff. They were not just professional—they were human, and their empathy made all the difference. Because of them, Belair Beach Hotel will always have a special place in my heart. I will absolutely return if I ever come back to St. Maarten, this time under happier circumstances. United Kingdomthe lift facility was not very user friendly . There were 2 lift locations but whichever you used you ended up with a very long walk from one end of building to the other. Was disappointed about that but everything else was spot on

United StatesAs noted earlier, the resort is an older facility and could probably use some updating. With that said, it is well worth the money we spent for a large, clean room that had a beautiful balcony overlooking the water. Also, every once in a while, the staff seemed to be working on "island time", but what can you expect? :-)
We booked this late as a spring break trip. Because we booked late, Belair Beach was one of the few resorts that were in our price range. This is an older resort, but it was in a great location with a great beach. The resort is RIGHT on the water, and we stayed in a very large two bedroom unit. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The resort is in a great location with easy access to everything.

The location cannot be beat and every room faces the sea, so no anxiety “hoping” for a good view it’s guaranteed! Staff superb!

United StatesThe air conditioner went out the day before we arrived. That made it unbearable. The temp in the suite was almost 90, add in the humidity. ..cold showers were what was needed. The hotel did provide a swamp type cooler for the master but our friends in the other room had nothing to help them cool off.
Gingerbread cafe was very good along with the cafe staff. Very friendly and hospitable. In fact all the staff we encountered were very pleasant, nice and helpful. The location, in my opinion the best. Beautiful beach.

It all. Gingerbread cafe, daily maid service, beach towels and chairs, everybody so friendly. This is the reasons I been back three times! The pool is warm, the sea is warm. What more could you ask for?

DominicaThe requirement to keep the a/c was took away somewhat from the facilities. There's this large doors that can open up to the balcony which we couldn't experience as keeping the doors open with the A/c on is a waste of energy. I'm also not a fan of too much cold and sleeping with a/c on is very uncomfortable. The walk way can be wider there is only sufficient space for one guest and luggage at a time.
The Location was excellent the rooms were spacious.

NetherlandsBreakfast starts at 08:30, why so late? Also the signs at the front desk informed us that the bar (Gingerbread cafe) closes at 21:30, we arrived for check-in at 21:00 hoping to have one more drink but they had already closed up! We tried to get at least a bottle of water at the front desk, but they could not get us anything. The tap water on Sint Maarten isnt great, so some bottled water for sale at the front desk would be the least we would expect. But they could not offer us anything. A small change could make a lot of difference here!

Belair is a smaller resort that is quiet and all the staff are friendly and very helpful. The beach is beautiful and you pick your own beach chairs and they are reserved for you for your entire stay so you don't have to worry about finding chairs each day. You could not pick a better resort on the whole island!

Pleasant, professional, and always help to get the day started off right with a friendly smile and “good morning.” The amazing view from your room overlooking Little Bay is priceless. The Gingerbread Cafe on-site is one of the best restaurants on the island, and just soooo convenient. I’ll keep coming back for as long as I’m able. 😎

United StatesSo we visited during the weekend and found out that nothing really happens on Saturdays but we respected the cultural difference of course and made the day a sort of chill day to tour did some sightseeing instead. Its very pricy when it comes to paid activities but affordable to eat at restaurants. St marteen is such a beautiful island. The purple there are so friendly and welcoming so I wouldn't say we didn't like anything.
Our stay at Belair Beach Hotel was wonderful. The place was kept clean. Stay was friendly and very keen on problem solving. There was security at the gate and on the surrounding grounds for safety. they had free secure parking beach was kept clean. The food from the cafe was delicious to taste. They had music and entertainment during dinner hours. There wasn't any disturbance at all during our stay. The view from the beach was breathtaking. There was an activity booth to assist in booking places to enjoy during our stay that was very helpful. I would definitely visit and stay at belair beach hotel again if I visit St maarten.
