Windows in rooms does not have netting so you can get some big insects in the room. Wifi can be a bit weak in the rooms but totally fine in the restaurant.

This place at the top of a valley is amazing - the rooms were the loveliest and most value for money. They did offer some tour advice on the app prior to arrival, but was clearer on the day before only. The restaurant staff were the loveliest though, and the food (the included breakfast spread with cooked eggs as well as the onsite restaurant for dinner) was excellent!! You have the feel of being in the forest but not far from anything - it's a short drive to the cultural village, and also quick access to Lobomba for the Umhlanga activities too. Parking was super easy.

Road entrance to the lodge by car is awkward and a little dangerous. No international news channel on TV in the rooms.

If I’m nitpicking, my room didn’t get any direct sunlight, so it was a little on the damp side

Stylish minimalist design, which I absolutely loved. I felt super comfortable there and slept really well. The breakfast terrace is fantastic and the staff across the entire facility were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The only downside was the room — we booked last minute and got the last available one. Some rooms are all connected side by side, similar to a motel layout, and ours was right next to the parking area, which made it quite noisy due to foot traffic. Aside from that, the rooms are comfortable and the overall stay was very enjoyable.

The place is beautiful, lush with greenery and has a pleasant, sustainable atmosphere. The staff is very helpful, and the restaurant not only offers a lovely view but also a cozy interior and excellent food.

That we could not stay an extra night because of work

The setting was breathtaking and the food was amazing and when we took a chance and asked them to move us to a new room. They made a plan with a smile. Definitely going back next year.
