“Facilities- the facilities are what you make it! You’re in the middle of the jungle so it a cold shower and the toilets are in bamboo huts but it’s all about the experience
Staff- couldn’t do enough for you, friendly, informative, gave lifts Where was required. Everynight whilst eating food that was home cooked and put on by Ao Luek staff (at a charge but more than worth it) the owner and a couple of family members would play instruments and sing Thai songs.
Location- only 2km from National Park, have access by car to a beach. But can do kayaking/elephant sanctuary/jungle trekking all through Ao Luek itself. We did the kayaking and it was amazing going through the mangroves and caves and it’s at a really good price.
Overall if you want to reconnect wit a nature, make lifetime friends, eat home cooked Thai food and experience jungle life with a chilled out atmosphere then this is the perfect place for you and we will 100% be returning! ”
“Everything else! The cottages all have a ladder to go up to the bedroom with little balcony you can relax on, and this is one of my favourite types of bamboo accommodation. The toilet and shower blocks are beautiful and creatively designed - as is the whole resort.
The staff are fantastic, the environment is stunning. The tours are great (but warning - the cave trip involves free climbing and not good if you have any fear of heights and are not quite fit and active) the river trek is one of the loveliest I had done. Wish I could have extended to do more, would have loved to do the kayaking or other trips!!
The cats are gorgeous and it's a great environment for sociable people who want more of a family vibe. Truly unique and rare in Thailand and I say that as a Thai-speaking westerner who visits Thailand often to visit cute little resorts.
Definitely will be back and will stay longer next time!!”
