Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaBed could have been a little softer.
Beautiful hotel in traditional style. With the pool it was a great place to relax, and remarkably quiet. Close to the airport so ideal for stopover, but also easy to get into the old town. Near a large shopping centre with food court and to a convenience store, so can get whatever else you want. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and arranged transfer back to airport. Breakfast was extra, but still cheap, and the grilled pork skewers with sticky rice were so good I kept ordering them and didnt try anything else! Will happily stay there again next time I am in Chiang mai.

VietnamIt's a comfortable and beautiful house. But position maybe not good at rainy season, we came there after the long night rain and the hotel was surrounded by water, it's hard to walk. But anyway, overall the hotel is lovely and peaceful.

IrelandBreakfast was limited but it's Asia, so don't expect a full English! The breakfast was nice though, just so you know. Plenty of other places if you need.
Room was amazing. Bed so comfortable and staff so accommodating. The staff went out of their way on multiple occasions and their English was better than expected for a small and wonderful boutique hotel. The poolside rooms are incredible and the pool was great also. The water wasn't as clear as you would expect but that's because of the cleaning agents used, so I can't really complain. The pool IS clean. We were allowed to bring our own friends and family to swim in the pool as well, even though they didn't stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an old style that represents Chiang Mai well, and is located near too a great shopping mall, and 10 minutes or less from the main city. Nice and quiet with no interruptions should you want to just relax.

United KingdomIt's a bit far from town by walk so we had to take the local taxis or tuktuks (available on Grab).
We did not expect this gem so close to the airport and without any plane noise! There's a real boutique feel about the place, the rooms are spacious and quiet. The beds are huge and very comfy.

Hong KongThe water in the pool is a bit salty - meaning people sweat a lot in the pool and the pool is not clean enough. The noise insulation is a bit bad.
The location is closed to the airport and quiet. The room is spacious and we can go to the swimming pool directly from our balcony - feel like we have a private pool as not many people using it. I also like the massage area in the pool and the pool size is just right for swimming. Unlike other reviews, there were no mosquitoes during our stay which was quite good. It is good for value.

South KoreaDidn't use the pool as it was quite murky. Motorbikes can be super noisy. And extra noise on Saturday night. Maybe from Kadmanee market. Ventilation missing in the bathroom.
Good idea to seperate zones for indoor and outdoor shoes. Friendly staff. The room was very clean.

GermanyThis is a review based on 9 nights of stay, which was a mistake. We booked this hotel based on the reviews at booking.com, but were quite disappointed. They have withdrawn the amount from the credit card on the day we made the reservation (3 weeks before our arrival) at a very bad exchange rate, we ended up paying €60 more. Except for one at the reception, it was not possible to communicate with any of the staff in English, which created lots of problems. Our check in with the lady at reception, who speaks very little English and was very unprofessional was very frustrating. The breakfast choices were very few and very unsatisfactory. The bathroom and the amenities were of poorest quality in contrast to the nice room.
The hotel has a really nice architecture, with teak floors and lobby. The room is big and the balcony (we were at the ground floor) was nice. The prices for drinks in the refrigerator were fair.
