I stayed here for three nights and I really enjoyed myself here. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful place surrounded by beautiful nature and a breathtaking view on the mountain nearby for a very fair price, look no further: This is the place to stay! Nuk, the receptionist, Kat the owner and her partner all have a very warm heart and are willing to help you with every question you have. There is free water for filling up your bottle and I even was allowed to use the kitchen for myself. Here you just feel welcomed and at home <3

Wonderful place to relax and to meet fellow travellers in a mellow environment. Kat and her sister are absolutely lovely and are extremely helpful. They went above and beyond to answer my questions and assist me while I was staying with them. Epic hostel!

There were quite a few bugs around but that’s expected with the location. The shower head also came off but this appeared to be replaced by the following day.

Lovely hostel nearby the Main Street and bus station of Chiang Dao. The staff are very friendly and can organise a scooter rental for you, which makes it easy to get around to the different sites. The grounds of the hostel are so peaceful with many places to chill out, including the hammocks! The beds are really comfortable and they provide free towels.

I could not share enough kind words about this place and its amazing staff. Not only are they kind and helpful in the ordinary course, when I got injured they made sure I got all the help I needed, including helping me with food, getting to the hospital, and everything in between. The accommodations are simple but very comfortable, and the hostel is very close to the things you need in Chiang Dao, including walking distance to 7-11 and some markets. Most importantly, these are these are some of the best people you could meet in Thailand - stay here!

It is.not easy to communicate. Although the main area and garden around the reception is incredibly charming and well designed and kept. rooms are in some kind of a backyard which is kinda ugly, almost industrial. Beds are incredibly hard. One of them in our room was almost as one was sleeping at a wooden board.

it is quiet place, just off the main road, but if you don't particularly care to be near the local market there are better options locationwise.

Very reasonable price. Owner is friendly, helpful and accommodated. Nice relaxing stream runs through the back of the property. Can see the Chiangdao in afar.

What a little gem,great place for a stopover.Very helpful owner who speaks good English. Stopped over for a couple of nights on our motorcycle tour. Loved the place,nice laid back atmosphere. Would stay again no problem.

The hostel itself is a work of art. Beautiful garden with hammocks and a bamboo house by the river. Kat was the best host you could imagine. Not only could I get a free upgrade to the most beautiful bamboo house, but she also organized my guided hike through the forest, the caves, a hot spring and up to a tent on the hill. She also showed me her favorite noodle restaurant and taught me how to ride a scooter. I stayed for a week in total and recommend this hostel to anyone - from solo backpacker to family holiday ❤️

Chiang Dao Hostel is like a home away from home. It was a great stay, this is why I extented my days there. The garden is like a little paradise. The manager speaks fluent english and she is very very kind and helpful. The hostel is a little walk away from the center, but I enjoyed little walks to get food etc. It is possible to walk/ hike in 90 minutes either to the hot Springs or the cave. I had a great stay and I will definitly come back. Thank you cat and nok🙏

Bike i rented for 50 baht was in terrible shape, and not safe

Unfortunately the youth next door spent an hour on the verandah talking carp on his phone at 11.00pm having woken me up at ten when he got home. D1ckheads are everywhere.

Very convenient for the bus station, a five minute walk. I booked the dorm but noticed chalet rooms as I walked in and requested an upgrade for further payment. This room had a comfortable bed, an outlook over the river, ensuite bathroom plus a/c. I didn't use the a/c in the end just the fan. Kat runs the place with her kid sister who hardly speaks any English. Both are very beautiful and pleasant Thai girls so obviously that's a good thing!👌😉 Kat gave me a lift to my next accommodation at a fair price!

Absolutely great value. You get a big room with bathroom and clean facilities for a small money. The receptionist is very friendly and the property is a real gem, if you want to stay in a peaceful surrounding for a few days. Nice green area with possibility to lay down in a hammock directly at the brook. Yes sure there are some insects around, but I think thats inavoidable when you stay in the countryside in northern Thailand. But most important, the room is well protected against mosquitoes with intact mosquitoe nets and all, so this is not a problem here.

The weather was extremely hot during our stay, so it was difficult to sleep without AC. Would be nice to have a shuttle service to the caves and the temple. Be carefull with packs of savage dogs when walking on the roads, especially in the evening.

I have spent a nice time at this hostel. The room was clean, the matress was good and the garden lovely. The guesthouse is situated in a quiet neighborhood,, next to the bus station (10 min walking). I met great people when we shared the breakfast. The hotel staff was always happy to help. Will stay there again.

This is a very small, minor detail, but the entrance might not be too easy to find, specially at night and with dogs barking around you :D

Vastly surpassed my expectations. I had heard that Chiang Dao was a more off-the-beaten-path destination and I expected some odd, sketchier place, but it was actually pretty nice. Great garden to hang out in the morning, totally ok rooms, friendly and helpful staff working there.
